What they want is a reliable, dependable, and performant security camera, which is precisely what we're dealing with here. Its specs are pretty great, the construction is solid, and the features are plentiful and well-executed.

To start with, the camera boasts an IP65 enclosure, preventing dust and splashes from entering the housing. The double-layer vacuum encasing and the waterproof lens with a rubber ring will make sure the model's protected from the elements. Of course, at this price point (~80 quid), there's nothing necessarily impressive about this enclosure. The two-way audio, on the other hand, is quite alright. Holding the intercom button, you can communicate with people outside, scare thieves and/or intruders away, or interact with babies/pets from a different room.

When the camera detects motion, you receive a notification with a snapshot on the app. Adopting smart detection tech, the camera distinguishes between subjects and objects, minimising false alerts. Plus, you can switch between human detection or motion detection. With the first mode turned off, the camera will detect even small animals. Turning this mode back on, the model will be ignoring animals and only sending you notifications when it detects people.

Panning 355 degrees and tilting 90 degrees, the camera covers every surrounding angle, so there's no chance someone might slip beneath it or approach from a side undetected. As you'd expect, you can rotate this security camera from your smartphone or PC as the unit's compatible with Windows, Android, and iOS.

The second reason behind the model's aggressive appearance is the dual light source design that features 4 floodlights and 5 IR lights. Between these, the camera's viewing range stretches 20 metres (~65 feet) even at night.

This is no cheap product, which means that certain features come without saying. These features include the camera recording Full HD (1920 x 1080p) footage. To some extent, they also include the IP66-rated housing, making the model dust-tight and protecting its internal components against not just heavy downpours but even complete submersion.

Apart from that, the aforementioned mobile app will let you use the embedded microphone, recording what's happening around the camera as well as the ambient sound on the scene. Whilst its functionality is respectable, the app's UI is a little clunky, so we would recommend figuring out the settings and the controls from the get-go so that you can avoid problems down the road.

However, there's nothing clunky about the integrated humanoid algorithm. With its sensitive image processing, the algorithm makes sure the camera avoids false alarms, so when a notification comes, you can be pretty certain that something is happening there.

The Wansview W4 is a modest little fellow. Measuring 18.6 x 10.4 x 8.8 centimetres and weighing less than 500 grammes, this model occupies very little space and puts an almost nonexistent load on the supporting structure. Coming at ~30 quid, this is not some high-end security camera, so don't expect miracles from it. That being said, we have very few substantial problems with this product. The model cannot record on SD cards, so you'll be stuck with cloud storage only. Besides that, most problems with the camera are negligible, at least where the average user's concerned.

First things first, there's nothing wrong with its 110-degree wide-angle lens, covering not just what's in front but also the surrounding area. What's more, the model features 4X digital zoom, so you can enlarge its focus and find the smallest details on the monitoring area that you might miss otherwise.

At night, this camera is almost as effective as it is during the day. Employing 24 IR LEDs, this device can make even complete darkness submit to its will. Not unlike its more expensive peers, the model's viewing range peaks at 20 metres, which is a pretty impressive accomplishment at this price.

Setting its nighttime performance aside, this device is cut pretty much from the same cloth that the best security cameras are made from, with its IP65-rated body offering uncompromised weatherproof performance, whilst the aluminium-alloy housing protects the cam from vandals.

The SV3C B07W, despite the somewhat convoluted name, is a pretty straightforward device. In most ways, the model has no trouble competing with security cameras that cost twice as much as this one. Having said that, the model's not without its flaws. First and foremost, we're not crazy about its viewing angle. Capping at 70 degrees, this device does not let you view the sides quite as well as its competition within this selection. Generally speaking, 70 degrees is plenty, but since there are multiple cameras that cost around as much as this one and go above 100 degrees, we cannot let this mishap slide. We will, however, let the company's mobile app slide.

Not dissimilar to most security cameras, this model is compatible with PC and mobile devices, including Android and iOS. Whilst there's nothing wrong with the PC app, the mobile application is where this product shines the most, with its straightforward UI and a seamless menu structure that even inexperienced, least tech-savvy users can navigate with relative ease.

When the camera detects motion, the app receives an immediate notification, including a snapshot and/or a recording. You can also make the system send you an email alarm to go with the in-app notification. As you would expect, the motion sensors can be adjusted, preventing or, at the very least, decreasing false alarms.

Storage-wise, you can choose between cloud storage and Micro SD cards. Needless to say, since the camera costs 30 quid, the shipment does not include a complementary card. But the camera accepts Micro SD cards up to 128 gigabytes, so you can store a pretty respectable footage collection.

The Wansview 760b is a beefy device, ditching the sleek white look that most security cameras adopt these days and sticking with what's been working for decades now. With its all-black finish (aside from the thin line encircling the lens and the company's white logo), the camera appears a lot more discreet than its mates within this lineup, attracting less attention, which is seldom a bad thing with security cams. Plus, the black finish does not quite highlight scratches as much as white surfaces and is not as easily soiled as they are.

The model's performance is as good as those cameras that we have reviewed above. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the package. Other than the camera, you're shipped a mount, mounting hardware, a power adapter, and an Ethernet cable, meaning that you receive more or less the usual package. However, the mounting hardware (primarily the fixings) are quite short, so you'll have to replace them or make sure the camera's view is not obstructed.

Again, in the performance department, we have no complaints. The camera can record Full HD (1920 x 1080p) video. Its viewing angle pushes 110 degrees, which is quite good considering that the device measures moderate 26.3 x 19 x 8.1 centimetres. The model also integrates an Alexa module, letting you choose between in-app controls and voice commands. The company's application remains unchanged, offering multiple useful features and making them easily accessible. Among these features, you'll find a 4X digital zoom, allowing you to enlarge the video and identify small details. The same app will receive alert messages upon motion detection. Besides that, you can also download alert videos from the cloud or save them on a Micro SD card.
