Twice as Bright
These Techmax H4 LED headlight bulbs are among the brightest models offered on the market, with the 3600 lumens per bulb and two bulbs in the set, it makes 7200 lumens of light shining onto the road before your car. That is quite a lot, as the average brightness of affordable LEDs more or less varies from 4000 to 6000 lumens. Even less would be the brightness of the halogen fog lights usually installed on most vehicles during the production stage in the factories. Thus, if you feel like you don't see the road before you well enough when the weather is foggy, or it is raining or snowing, the Techmax H4 LED fog lights might be your saviour.
The Techmax H4 round LED fog lights can also double as headlights with their 40 W per bulb power. Being this powerful means they need cooling and this has not escaped the manufacturers, neither it has been disregarded. The model is equipped with the 700 RPM fan that offers highly effective cooling and, consequently, prolongs the operational life of these LED fog lights up to impressive 50,000 hours. Now, even if you live in a region where rainy and foggy weather is nothing to be surprised about and where fog lights are not a designer's touch to the car exterior but a necessity, these H4 LED headlight bulbs will still serve you for a long time, much longer than any halogen lights could, probably.
Quality Assured
These round LED fog lights correspond to the requirements of all certification agencies including ROHS, CE, FCC, etc. They are legal in the UK as well, no need to worry about that. And the purchase also includes a three-year warranty, which is pretty long when it comes to headlights and says quite a bit about the manufacturer's certainty in their product's quality.
The installation won't take long: the official statement claims you'll only need 20 minutes to get the lights ready and most customers agree that it is simple enough.
Since more often than not fog lights are placed as close to the road surface as possible, their housing must be durable and have some kind of protection against both dust and water that is inevitable during the drive. The protection of this Techmax CREE LED headlight bulbs is top-notch—the IP67 stated on the packaging means the bulbs are completely dust-tight and can be immersed in water up to 1 metre deep. We do hope you never happen to check the latter for yourself, though, drive safe and see everything in front of your car clearly and vividly with LED fog lights by Techmax.

Best LED Fog Lights for Trucks
Fog is often a large concern for drivers in and of itself, but when you drive off-road in foggy conditions, there will most probably be a whole new bunch of nasty surprises. Good light is especially important for those of us who do not always have the luxury of paved highways, and fog adds to the issues considerably. That's why you will definitely benefit from these LED fog lights for trucks form WOWLED.
Created specifically for off-road trucks, these 12-inch lights with CREE LED headlight bulbs are a combination of flood and spot beams: there are 6 tiny flood beam bulbs at the sides and 12 spot beam bulbs in the centre, together making 24 bulbs, 3W each (72W overall), producing 6000K cool white light of approximately 6624 lumens.
Seeing as these are LED fog lights for trucks, it stands to a reason that they are toughened and hardened as much as possible, with IP67-level protection against moisture and dust, meaning the housing is totally impenetrable for sand or earth particles and can be submerged underwater 1 metre deep for half an hour without any resulting damage. The housing itself is anti-corrosion die-cast aluminium so there is certain ground behind our words when we say these rectangular LED fog lights will serve for quite a term.
What's with the Combo?
As already stated before, this WOWLED model is a combination of 12 flood beam bulbs and 12 spot beam ones. How is this combination a winning one? It's pretty simple. The spot beam is an intense one where all the light is directed into a relatively narrow "spot" to highlight specific place as brightly as possible with the power applied. It is stronger than a flood beam, the purpose of which is primarily to light a larger area. Floodlights usually have wide angles but offer less intensity of light with the same power. The combination of flood and spot lights in this WOWLED LED fog lights for trucks is done in a way that both types complement each other: you have 12 flood light beams at the edges illuminating the sides of the road for you to see around and the 12 spot beams in the centre will light up your road right ahead more brightly, making every possible bump and obstacle visible even in the fog. With a combination like this, your vision is clear and you have next to no blind spots before you as you drive.
Another important thing here is that the WOWLED rectangular LED fog lights are also designed with efficient heat elimination in mind, essentially making the fan unnecessary. The model is also quite simple to mount on your vehicle, with two lower mounting brackets included in the purchase.

Versatile Option
These 4-inch CREE LED headlight bulbs by MICTUNING are suitable for most vehicles, especially medium and big ones, like Pickup trucks, off-roaders, SUVs, 4x4, etc. Each bulb has six quality LEDs of 3W, making it 18W power per bulb, 36W as a set. These bulbs emit 1260 lumens of spot light at 20 degrees, quite enough to pierce through rather heavy fog most of the time and help the drivers and their passengers stay safe.
One of the best things in this model, in our opinion, is that it can be mounted in more than one place and the setup process is fast and easy thanks to adjustable mounting brackets that come with the purchase: you have complete freedom as to where you want your LED fog lights, be it your car's grille, roof, or front bumper. Another benefit of adjustable brackets is that you can set the angle convenient for you personally. According to the manufacturer, the installation will take you up to half an hour at most but with some skills, you'll probably do it faster.
The operating voltage range here is also remarkably wide, from 9 to 30 V DC, further expanding the list of vehicles the model is suitable for. All things considered, MICTUNING 4-inch bulbs are among the most versatile options at a reasonable price.
Clear for Off-road
Developing LED fog lights for trucks, among other things, the MICTUNING approaches the safety issue with care and diligence. The featured model is made of durable die-cast aluminium with stainless steel mounting brackets and screws, raising minimal issues regarding sturdiness. In the meantime, seeing as there is no fan to cool down the bulbs, the company has instead designed a sufficient free cooling system. The said system consists of ten cooling fins (as compared to six or eight usually found in the similar models by different manufacturers) that help dissipate heat effectively and flawlessly. The fins are also thinner than usual, making the air flow more freely to enhance the cooling process.
The model has also cleared the IP code tests with the result of IP67. You might have noticed that these are the most popular numbers among the high-quality LED fog lights, however, by no means are they inferior or poor—both numbers are ones of the highest in the respective parameters, they mean that the housing is completely sealed against dust and sand and can be put 1 metre deep in water for half an hour as well, all that without damaging the bulbs. With lights like these, neither fog nor any harsh and challenging environment will get in the driver's way.

Ultra-cool Light for Hot Environment
The Safego H4 LED headlight bulbs produce ultra-cool white light at 6000—6500K. This light is "colder" and more "sharp" than the usual cool white light as it is closer on the spectre to the blue light. For the nominal power of 60W (as a set of two), these bulbs offer quite impressive 3000 lumens of light each, thus creating a solid beam to significantly enhance the visibility for the drivers compared to the halogen H4 bulbs, for example. At the same time, despite being quite bright, these lights do not blind either you or the drivers that go the opposite way, the issue that has occurred with some extremely bright models, to the point where certain light temperatures and brightness became legally restricted on the road.
To assist the built-in cooling fan, these round LED fog lights are also designed with an extended heat dissipation surface, therefore, they are often chosen by the drivers who frequently find themselves travelling during the hottest months of the year and in the areas with high temperatures. These bulbs are able to endure heat better than many other models. And with the usual IP67 protection level, you won't need to worry about the rainy weather, humidity, or even sandstorms (though we do wish you to never encounter one).
All-round Enhancement
Using the new COB (Chips-on-Board) LED technology, these H4 LED headlight bulbs can produce a beam that seems almost impossibly wide—up to 280 degrees. It's like the only "blind" area of the bulb is the part where it is built into your car's socket. You'll see the road not only before you but to the sides as well, and this can be crucial, especially so in a foggy weather when the visibility for the drivers is lower than ever.
The installation of the Safego LHL-C6S-H4 model is extremely easy, no previous experience necessary to upgrade your car from traditional halogen lights to these LEDs. They offer approximately 80% better lighting with quicker cooling and better on/off response time compared to both halogen and Xenon models. Plus, this model turns on in a blink of an eye, not needing to warm up for the optimal lighting performance.
Finally, one more thing to consider when buying LED fog lights is that they do look good on a car, adding a touch of modernity and style. There are buyers who purchase these bulbs for looks alone, although their performance is still top-notch.
Besides the H4 bulb, the Safego company also offers this model for H7, H8, H9, H11, HB3 9005, and HB4 9006 sockets.

Universal Lights
The MICTUNING company is all about versatility with most of their automotive lighting products, these MIC-LP-099R round LED fog lights are not the first we've encountered from this company that can be mounted in a selection of places on your car. However, the interesting thing about this particular model is that it can be used as both front and rear backup lights. Most auxiliary light models, especially those targeted to battle bad visibility weather, are generally mounted at the front—on the grill, front bumper, or roof. And that's mostly okay. But has it never happened that you desperately need improved visibility during a snowstorm when you are to go in reverse driving? Like leaving the parking lot or something. In a case like that, a pair of the MIC-LP-099R might come in handy.
The MIC-LP-099R bulbs can, of course, be mounted at the front as well. They are great backup lights regardless of where you install them. These LED fog lights for trucks are designed for a flush mounting, too, so they are tightly sealed and protected against dirt or sand and water getting inside and damaging the wiring or the COB LEDs themselves. A design of this type offers improved stability when driving on the bumpy road or during a little fender bender.
Top Bargain for Off-road
Each bulb has six tiny LEDs of 3W power located in a flower-like pattern with one LED in the centre and five others around it. This placement, combined with deep reflector cup and high-transmittance clear optical lens, allows for a wide flood beam of up to 60 degrees to illuminate the road before (or behind) your car. The produced brightness is approximately 1300 lumens per bulb. It might not seem much at a glance but remember that these are auxiliary lights, they will improve your vision considerably but they should not be your main or only lights used. On the other hand, they won't cause any glare for your fellow drivers.
MICTUNING has integrated several new features in these lights, one of which is the moisture release hole. It helps with getting rid of vapours, thus improving protection against moisture. The same purpose is set before the rubber loop well protection for wires and inner parts.
The wide range of supported voltages (10V to 30V) enables use on many vehicles, specifically, SUVs, UTVs, ATVs, Jeeps, and other offroad cars. The model is offered by the manufacturer as LED fog lights for trucks, mainly. In addition to the bulbs, you will also receive two sets of mounting hardware, although there were some customers who had claimed the screws to be a bit flimsy so you might consider purchasing those separately. On all the other fronts, we find this model a good bargain for off-road travelling in low visibility environment.

What Is a LED Fog Light?
Fog lights are an important part of any vehicle's lighting system designed to enhance the visibility of the road for a driver in adverse weather conditions. For better light distribution and a wider illumination range, they are typically installed either on a lower bumper or a front grille of a vehicle. The colour of the light the bulbs produce can be white and yellow. Which one will work for you better, you are to choose.
As you know, the engine is the heart of any vehicle so it's important to maintain it in a good operating condition. However, one day it might start to malfunction resulting in many unexpected and unpleasant situations on the road. Which is why we'd recommend you to take care of your car and try to prevent those troubles, by making a habit of carrying a car battery charger and a jump starter with you.
What Features to Compare
Type
Fog lights perform a very important function — they improve your ability to see the roadway in conditions of fog. Likewise, they can add the necessary amount of light to high beams, headlights, and other types of car lights. The fog light bulbs are usually mounted on the front of the vehicle, typically either on a bumper or a grille; there are also those models that go at the top. The lights come in a variety of types. Some of them are built into enclosures, others need to be inserted in special mounting holes on the bumper. Complete solutions are generally more versatile; they perfectly fit SUVs, trucks and even motorbikes.
Power
Each fog bulb is characterized by its power (measured in watts) and luminous efficacy (in lumens). The average wattage consumed by the fog light bulb is about 50-60 watts, however, there are also more powerful lamps on the market. You shouldn't use lights with higher rates of wattage if your vehicle lighting system is not ready for this. Otherwise, you may cause damage to the lamp as well as other system components. Luminous efficacy shows how many lumens the bulb can produce in relation to wattage. To get better visibility, you need to choose the models with higher rates of the light output.
Lifespan
Each bulb naturally has a certain service life. 2000-4000 hours is the normal useful life of most standard halogen bulbs. LED lights can serve longer. On average, their lifespan can make 50,000 hours. If compared to halogen lamps, the LEDs also ensure better light distribution and output. The power consumption is also much better in LEDs.
Did you know?
The LED fog lights are usually placed as low as possible
The ways our planet operates, there are certain peculiarities that specifically concern foggy weather. Fog is essentially a cloud of water droplets formed low to the ground, and water reflects light. When you direct the beam at the tiniest water droplets that form the fog, that light will be reflected right into your eyes, effectively blinding you. At the same time, although fog is moisture, water, it is still light enough to stay in the air (or so it seems, the complete process is a bit more complicated). As humans, we generally do not notice these things as they require attention directed at specific places where we do not tend to look; yet there is always some space between the road surface and the fog due to the physics of cloud formation. The fog starts at a certain height (it varies depending on the fog thickness), it does not "lay" flat on the road the way snow does. Consequently, the fog lights are to be placed as low as possible and the beam is to be directed to that very space clear of fog. This way, the beam won't be reflected off the water droplets and instead of blinding the drivers, the lights will illuminate the road.
It is insistently recommended (and in some areas, it is forced by laws) to only use fog lights in certain conditions
Some drivers tend to leave them on for aesthetic purposes ignoring the fact that these types of lights are made for a narrow range of situations. There are areas where fog lights have been completely banned and fines are set for their use due to the drivers using them inappropriately more often than they are really necessary. While good LED fog lights can save you and other drivers in extremely bad weather (not only fog, but also mist, rain, snow, and even sometimes sand storms), they will most likely only cause grief and potentially create accident-prone situations on the road during normal driving conditions by continuously distracting you. The beam produced by these lights is usually directed to illuminate the sides of the road and the immediate front, therefore, they are only good at low speeds. When you drive at high speed, you need to see far ahead to have time to brake and avoid bumping into other cars, pedestrians, animals, and other possible obstacles. Fog lights might hinder that. Please remember to turn your fog LEDs off when you don't really need them.
You can't have blue fog lights
The physics of colour perception by the human's eye is that the wavelength of blue colour cause it to be readily scattered. As a result, blue light does not trigger our pupils to constrict, thus blurring the image we receive and decreasing the visibility in already bad conditions of fog or rain; to add insult to injury, blue colour causes more glare for both you and the drivers of oncoming traffic. In fact, the only colour temperatures recommended for the best LED headlight bulbs are white and selective yellow since they make our pupils "close" the most efficiently, focusing our vision.
FAQ:
Q: What is the best place on my vehicle for installing the fog light bulbs?
A: It depends on your vehicle and the type of fog bulbs you've got. Typically, the fog lights can be installed on a bumper, grille, or rack of your car. The most common type of installation is on the bumper, however, if you drive an SUV or a truck, you will probably want to install the lights on a grille. For vehicles equipped with a front brush guard or a roof rack, the best place will be on the rack. What you should know is that to make the light more intense it is recommended to install the fog lights as low to the ground as possible.
Q: What are the major advantages of LED headlights?
A: Thanks to low and efficient energy consumption, LEDs produce excellent light output and require less power, they heat up considerably less than halogen bulbs and have a better response time. They can also be found in a huge variety of modifications due to their small size.
Q: What is the difference between fog lights and driving lights?
A: Fog lights are generally used to illuminate the road surface in front a car in conditions of fog, rain, and snow. They cannot be used separately from the standard low beams. Just like the fog lights, the driving lights supplement the standard beams and are used to provide illumination forward of the vehicle.
Q: Does a colour temperature of LED fog light bulbs really make a difference?
A: Yes, it does. Colour temperature is measured in Kelvins. Light bulbs with a lower Kelvin rating (and, correspondingly a lower colour temperature) produce a warmer light, down to the red spectrum, while bulbs with a higher Kelvin rating (and higher colour temperature) emit cooler and bluer light. The shades of white lights, being naturally closer to the daylight, give the driver a feeling of being awake when at the wheel. In poor weather conditions such as snow or fog, yellow lights were considered to be more efficient than the white ones, although the latest tests have proven they are more or less equal.
Q: What can cause operating troubles and failures of LED light bulbs?
A: The failure of LED bulbs can be a result of some technical issues such as voltage surges and power spikes, loose or corroded connections, wiring issues. If the problem occurs, the first thing you need to do is check all connections, the wire, and the plug-in connectors. In case you detect that one of the connections have been corroded, clean it and fill it with a special dielectric grease.
