What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer
- This sub for the money is amazing, the size, weight and build quality is VERY good.
- It's big, it's heavy, it's solid and placed correctly and paired with a decent amp it's wonderful to listen to.
- It is plenty loud/deep enough for my tastes. Build quality is good and it is not too big. Recommended.
- Amazing sounding sub. One lost star because of size and weight: it's a beast.
- When it arrived I was surprised just how big and also heavy it was, be prepared to make room for something the size of a good Foot stool in your living room!
Yamaha NSSW050 Powered Subwoofer with 8 Driver - Black
- It is very heavy for its size and not too big. I am very pleased I went for the Yamaha as it looks great and sounds fantastic.
- This is a wonderful speaker, first it is not too big to look out of place in a typical English living room (size) but big enough to reproduce those low frequency BASS sounds.
- Unpacked, connected, working. Big sound in a small package, I get a nice foot massage on the really crunchy scenes. What more could you want ?
- Quality and technology is where they excel and even though this is a rather small subwoofer it sure delivers even i our 25x16 extension.
- We have a smaller sized lounge and it fitted fine was easy to set up and gives the deeper sounds the films give out.

What customers say about "Audio"
Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer
- The bass did shake the room and gave every impact, explosion or action a beefy underscore, lovely.
- Wharfedale keep introducing fantastic value for money speakers that keep producing a great sound.
- Very controlled deep bass you would expect from subwoofers twice its price. You simply can not go wrong with this subwoofer in medium sized rooms.
- The sw150 adds a subtle bass to already lovely sounding system. plenty of range to add more depending on your taste.
- I recently watched Blade Runner for the first time - the opening scene just comes to life, immersing you in amazing audio.
Yamaha NSSW050 Powered Subwoofer with 8 Driver - Black
- This has transform my Yamaha AV system, giving rich bass tones.
- It fitted fine was easy to set up and gives the deeper sounds the films give out.
- The bass is smooth and relatively subtle at the volume levels I normally use, but it does not distort even at levels that cause objects in the room to shake.
- The sound quality is really crisp and carries superbly. You don't even need to turn it up very loud to get the benefits (much to neighbours delight).
- The extra bass adds an amazing amount of volume (as in 3D presence not loudness) to any music.

What customers say about "Features"
Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer
- To get the best results some patience is needed as slight adjustments can make a big difference, follow the instructions!
- Its great having adjustments on the sub and we have it just behind our sofa so get a nice little rumble and kick when the sub kicks in.
- It is easy to overdo the effect and make it horribly over the top - but the adjustment is easy to tweak with the dial on the back of the unit.
- Lots of adjustments on the subwoofer to get the sound with a bit more heft in the bass dept.
- With just a few minutes to adjust the volume and cut-off frequency, it fits in perfectly with my other speakers.
Yamaha NSSW050 Powered Subwoofer with 8 Driver - Black
- It has it's own volume control, so you can easily adjust to your needs.
- Very happy by the fact it’s simple to control and only has one button to switch it on and one to control the volume bass. Less time fiddling and more time spent listening to the sound it produces.
- Looks and feels well built, and was simple to set up. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.
- Only one minor quibble, the power indicator light is on the rear of the unit which seems a bit silly as you can not see it.
- The subwoofer is unattractive in appearance, to my eyes. It's just a featureless black cube -- rather like a piece of industrial equipment.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer
- Coupled up to my Sony AV amp, what a delight it is, producing a good bass which can be control at the back of the unit, on off, auto off, volume control, phase control, multiple input/out.
- I received my sw150 today and after a little unpacking I connected everything up! All I can say is wow!!!
- Bought this to supplement a Monitor Audio ASB2 soundbar and it works a treat. You can change the crossover point and it has several connection options.
- Very impressed. I connected it up with a q accoustic media 4 sound bar and it sounds great. Would certainly reccomend it.
- As useful info for others, there is no LFE connection on the back of the speaker, but is has all other connection options.
Yamaha NSSW050 Powered Subwoofer with 8 Driver - Black
- It is SIMPLE TO USE, yes I'm shouting this out!, just turn volume to minimum plug in the input cable and power it up then switch on - gently adjust the volume to your preference.
- This improved the already very good sound quality of the Denon hi fi. Particularly when using the record deck through the analogue input.
- A phono cable is required to connect the item to your receiver which i didn't know (thought it might be terminals). Sound quality is excellent.
- The instructions were precise and it was very a quick and painless task to connect and setup the speaker.
- It's a wonderful device, but the absence of an auto power switch might put off some. When switched on without an input signal my meter registers 6.5W, so 24/7 over a year that's about £7 of electricity.
