What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Yamaha NS-SW100 Powered Subwoofer with 10" Driver - Black
- I could only recommend for movies in small to medium size rooms.
- Overall, I would recommend Yamaha subs of whatever size fits your room and system.
- This sub has great bass response, and blends nicely with my existing surround sound system. For its compact size, it has massive bass output!
- Works great! Perfect size for my room!
- It is very heavy for its size and too big. I am not very pleased I went for the Yamaha.
Yamaha NS-SW200PN Powered Subwoofer
- NS-SW200 is a very chic, small in size but hi-tech engineered subwoofer that can easily out perform the bulky & pricey rivals.
- Smaller subs such as this Yamaha are ideal for add bass and depth to your Hi-Fi, which is what I bought it for.
- The perfect sound for such a compact subwoofer. I am very happy with the purchase.
- It is small but heavy enough to carry it alone.
- It is inconvenient to carry it because of weight because you can damage your back. The first time you need to decide where he will be located.

What customers say about "Audio"
Yamaha NS-SW100 Powered Subwoofer with 10" Driver - Black
- I did like how Yamaha subs sound, so went looking for a decent but not overly expensive one that reached to at least 25 Hz.
- This sub is a good choice for easy set up and sounds good for both movies and music playback.
- Since my purchase, they close their door which mutes quite a bit of their sound and that makes me happy.
- As with the rest of my Yamaha speakers, this sub sound great for movies.
- The deep lows sounded pretty good, but somehow the midbass from 40-100 were really weak.
Yamaha NS-SW200PN Powered Subwoofer
- Fairly good power and volume for it's size but sound quality is poor. At best it's like the bass is in another room wrapped in several moving blankets.
- It works well, and adds a lot of bottom end tothe system without being overpowering.
- I could say the sound of my home teather has improved at least 5 to 6 times, you can hear clear and crisp the bass down to very low frequencies (28Hz).
- If you want to use this only for music i strongly recommend it too, although I use it for both music and movies. This baby can make your windows shake.
- After a while, an unpleasant sound appeared at low and high frequencies, which is very annoying.

What customers say about "Features"
Yamaha NS-SW100 Powered Subwoofer with 10" Driver - Black
- I remembered the phase setting, I had switched to out-of-phase for better sound and it's works
- I adjusted the crossover to 80 Hz and turned the volume up to 3/4 on the sub, and the 40-100 Hz came back.
- Left the extended bass signal, and rolled back to half volume, everything evened out nicely.
- It also doesn't have a standby feature bad for me
- If this produces any sound down to the 25hZ claimed low end, it would be a miracle.
Yamaha NS-SW200PN Powered Subwoofer
- Yamaha Audio has always impressed my expectations. Owned cd player, A/V receiver and now sub-woofer. Strong for only being 8 inches for smaller rooms.
- The quality of materials and engineering that Yamaha put on this little guy is simply amazing.
- I compared this one side by side with another brand 10inches speaker about the same price range, mine is clearly the winner, powerull with deep bass and clear sound.
- The new PWM digital amp and Advance YST II servo creates beautiful & deepest bass with a smoothness (even in very low volumes) that I can not describe in words.
- Twisted Flare port is another quantum leap. This port manipulates the air going in/out so that the sub should be silent while breathing heavily.
- The only thing I don't like too much is that the standby mode with auto power off requires a certain level of power to keep it working, otherwise the speaker will shutdown automatically.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Yamaha NS-SW100 Powered Subwoofer with 10" Driver - Black
- I connected this equipment to a Denon Mini Hi Fi. At first I could not get it to work until I realised it had an on/off button.
- Unpacked, connected, working. Big sound in a small package.
- The instructions were precise and it was very a quick and painless task to connect and setup the speaker
- Phono cable is required to connect the item to your receiver which i didn't know (thought it might be terminals). Sound quality is excellent.
- What it doesn't have is the speaker level inputs with built-in adjustable crossover.
Yamaha NS-SW200PN Powered Subwoofer
- Very nice SW, works well with other Yamaha items as well!
- Set up was very easy and I must admit it is way superior to the outgoing Tannoy subwoofer.
- The subwoofer connects perfectly to my receiver and shows excellent performance.
- There is something wrong with the connectors because the sound constantly disappears after 10 seconds of playing the song.
- I do not like that the connectors are too close to each other. Because of this, wires can begin to get confused.
