What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Yamaha NS-SW500 250 Watt Subwoofer
- Nice small size makes it a great option to fit just about anywhere.
- I love the compact size of this subwoofer. Good bass sound without being overwhelming.
- The sub's size allowed me to put it neatly in a corner so it isn't taking up any more space or drawing attention to itself.
- I was fairly pleased with the size and "just enough" sound for a 15 X 15 master bedroom.
- I needed a small subwoofer for a living room installation. This fit the location and provides adequate bass.

What customers say about "Audio"
Yamaha NS-SW500 250 Watt Subwoofer
- I have this sitting on the carpeted floor and it still provides enough bass for my ears.
- The sub is well built and setup in a small room 12 x 15 with good acoustic, it sounds very good, nice and rich with acceptable lows, really not bad at all.
- Great with music and movie effects. The bass is crisp with no rattle. Very satisfied...I highly recommend it.
- For the size of the room, the sound is great and i only have it up about 60-70% of the way.
- The sound is surprisingly directional. On average volume, can hardly feel it in the other room but it is very prominent from the couch.

What customers say about "Features"
Yamaha NS-SW500 250 Watt Subwoofer
- Knobs and controls on the back are easy to read and offer a lot of control once you play with them a bit.
- Don't let the size fool you, this still has plenty of punch depending on how you set it up and configure the volume and settings.
- Take the time to setup your amp settings properly and this little Subwoofer will bother your neighbors.
- The volume control and other adjustments are on its backside and since the speaker is up against a wall my settings have to be right because I don't want to get up and fiddle with the controls.
- The volume control is completely gone, and the sub seems to have lost its mind and stays on a high volume I could never get initially, making it unusable.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Yamaha NS-SW500 250 Watt Subwoofer
- It has line in RCA jacks for both right and left channels, and also has a control to vary the upper cutoff frequency.
- Connected easily in place of a defective speaker I replaced. Has a great auto on/off feature.
- I have this connected to a Harmon Kardon Hk3390 receiver and On the back of the sub I set the volume 3/4 - perfect combination, super clear sound!
- I have a sub output from my preamp so that is how I connect to it and it works just fine adding plenty of bass to my system.
- If you've got a corner for this, though, the sound is tight, the connections are good, and I think it's a very attractive piece of audio equipment.
