ThermoPro TP-08
Measure Temperature at a Distance
As a rule, you need to stay close to the oven to check on the meal you cook. However, if ThermoPro TP-08 cooking thermometer is used, this necessity isn't as acute. The set includes transmitter and receiver which enable you to control the cooking process even from a different room.
To start using the thermometer, all you need is to attach transmitter to the oven and keep receiver at hand. On the display of the receiver you'll be able to see what happens there in the oven and whether it's time to get back to the kitchen. The operation distance of ThermoPro TP-08 cooking thermometer makes 90 meters.
Pay attention to the high accuracy of thermometer which allows using it not only for cooking but for many other household purposes. Boasting two probes, a wide temperature range, and alert system, this thermometer can also become a nice assistant in a café or a restaurant kitchen.
Speaking of the alert system, ThermoPro TP-08 cooking thermometer can notify you with a sound signal or lights about the slightest temperature drop or rise.
All features considered, ThermoPro TP-08 cooking thermometer is a must-have appliance for every sophisticated kitchen. It will also be definitely appreciated by people who like cooking in electric or charcoal smokers.
ThermoPro TP16 Cooking Thermometer
Perfectly Cooked Meat
It’s easy to determine meat doneness if you're an experienced chef. However, if you're not, you can easily use an accurate cooking thermometer for that. The ThermoPro TP16 has been designed to fit this purpose great.
What sets the thermometer in question apart from many other models out there is the fact that it offers several preset programmes to check six types of meat. Therefore, it allows customers to check the temperature of beef, pork, poultry, ham, and fish.
We also really like that due to its design, the ThermoPro TP16 thermometer can be used both indoors and outdoors, in an electric grill and a rotisserie oven. Plus, magnetic mounting allows you to attach it to the metal wall of an oven, thus, providing full-time control of a cooking process. In case there's no option to attach it onto an oven, you can use a flip-out stand and put a thermometer on a countertop.
Lastly, we would like to say that a corded probe of stainless steel makes it easy to measure meat temperature in an oven, a stovetop or a grill. To make the process of cooking even more comfortable, the manufacturer has equipped the ThermoPro TP16 with an LCD display. So, if you need a reliable, multifunctional, and easy-to-use thermometer, this one fits the bill.
Habor W3333
Long Probes
TopElek W3333 is probably the most well-rounded product on the list. Its premium 304 food-grade stainless steel is able to withstand corrosion and ultra-high temperatures. It is really easy and simple in maintenance.
The model is perfectly suitable for indoor use in the kitchen, oven, and fryer or outdoor use while grilling or smoking. Its 5.9-inch long probe keeps you from burning your hands while measuring meat, water, or anything else.
The LCD screen is pretty good. Our only problem with it is that the values are relatively small and difficult to read at times. At the same time, featuring backlighting, the screen lets you read the temperature at night. Just press the Hold button to turn on that backlighting. You can also use the button to hold the temperature.
There's an automatic shut-off feature that activates when you don't press any buttons for 10 minutes, saving much energy and expanding the model's lifespan.
The screen also incorporates Min/Max readings that will prove especially useful for people who practice slow cooking.
All things considered, TopElek W3333 will be able to massively improve your daily cooking life. This cooking thermometer is really versatile. You can use it for liquids as well as meat. The materials are durable and its functionality is solid. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the probe is really long.

What Is a Cooking Thermometer?
A cooking thermometer is surely an irreplaceable tool in every kitchen. Cooking thermometers are designed to facilitate the cooking process and help you achieve the best cooking results. Upon using an accurate cooking thermometer, you’ll know for definite whether your meal is done or it still needs a few minutes in the oven. Cooking thermometers are also widely used for grilling steaks. By taking the temperature of the cooked meat, a probe thermometer can tell you exactly if your steak is rare, medium or well-done so that you can enjoy a delicious meal as you like it.
Moreover, cooking thermometers may ideally suit young parents who often have to heat baby food. Knowing the right temperature, you wouldn’t need to sip at the milk but give it right to your little one. These thermometers are used to take both, above and below-zero temperatures. Hung from the rack in the fridge or in the oven, a cooking thermometer will surely help you cook and preserve food in the right way.
Kitchen and food scale is another useful kitchen device that most homemakers would love to have. Make sure to read our review and choose the best one to always admeasure the right amount of food.
What Features to Compare
Type
There are two main types of thermometers: digital and analogue. The latter has a more limited scope of application. The accuracy of these thermometers is quite relative, so when using such a model, you should take into account only the approximate result. Also, you should note that analogue thermometers have a rather slow response time and you won't get a reading immediately. Digital thermometers, in turn, are more precise and have a lot of advantages over analogue devices. You can choose between three digital thermometers:
- Standard digital thermometers have a metal probe that is attached to the unit. They display the temperature right on the screen.
- Thermometers with STEP-DOWN probe and standard digital thermometers are very much alike. What differs them is the length of a probe. These have a longer probe and allow you to take the temperature of the food while it is still in the oven, thus, eliminating the risk of burning your hands. Also, they feature more functions for extra convenience such as a timer, audio signals, indicators, and so on.
- Infrared digital thermometers are capable of measuring the temperature of the food at a safe distance without actually touching it. They are fast and provide a reading almost instantly. However, it's essential to note that infrared digital thermometers are not very accurate when it comes to measuring the internal temperature of the food, so it might not always be easy to tell if the meat is prepared inside or not.
Temperature Range
Cooking thermometers may differ in the temperature amplitude as well, which might range from -50°C (-58℉) to 250°C (+400℉), so it's important to make sure a thermometer you choose suits your tasks. Here's a short guide: the temperature of boiling milk is 100.5°C (212℉); steaks, ham and fish that are well done have the temperature of 200°C (+392℉); the temperature of perfectly baked bread with crusty texture is 300°C (572℉). As we've mentioned earlier, cooking thermometers can also be used in the fridge for making sure the food is preserved in the right way. For that, it's essential that a cooking thermometer can also sense low temperatures. The range of +1.6°C (+35°F) to -24°C (-11.2℉) is considered optimal for use in the fridge.
Usability
Last but not least, check out the extras that add to the convenience of use. For example, if you're planning to dip the thermometer into the hot or boiled food, the thermometer should have a long probe to prevent you from burning hands while you measure the temperature. Also, you may want to check if the thermometer comes with magnets, stands, hooks, and backlit displays. Even though these aren't essential things, they can make the use of the thermometer much safer and more convenient.
