- Static noise when changing channels, very loud very annoying.
- Great value for a five channel AV amp with little competition if you want a top brand.
- Excellent piece of kit. Great sound quality on all channels. Pioneer still number one in the sound industry.
- More than enough power, and no static noise whatsoever. I recommend this AV receiver.
- VSX-531 is equipped with a 5.1-channel amplifier with power 140 watts/channel. Amplifier performance is more than enough for home use.
- Great piece of equipment, but has a tendency to just turn itself off when it has been on a few hours.
- Very clear sound. In combination with JBL all sounds amazing. Highly recommend this product.
- The unit has strengths such as HDR10, Dolby Vision, Hybrid Log Gamma, 4K passthrough and bluetooth. That's is pretty enough for a good home cinema.
- The Receiver has 4K passthrough up to 60p. All other shortcomings are covered by auxiliary peripherals.
- I can not choose sound mode, it only plays what the video supports so youtube videos I can't listen in good quality.
- For the year of release it doesn't support Dolby Atmos. It's a little disappointing.
- Replaced my old Pioneer receiver with this to pair it with new 4k tv. My initial reaction was wow.
- Superb amplifier great price lots of features at a great price.
- More than enough power, and no static noise whatsoever. I recommend this AV receiver.

- Bought it for the brand goodwill but kind of disappointed, the sound is not rich enough and lack of update technology.
- I can use USB on the front to fast connect flash drive with my recroding from camera.
- Nice that it can stream music, movies from phones, tablets, etc with built-in bluetooth connection.
- It is fully synchronized with the TV (if there is an HDMI connection): on / off, volume control. Plenty of connectivity options at the good price.
- Upset that it only comes with spring clip speaker connections not binding posts.
- The unit does not have Wi-Fi or even ethernet. It's 2018 product. It's just impossible.
- Build quality feels good. As well as all the Dolby settings and 4k hdr it also supports Bluetooth.
- Great av receiver that looks smart and has a great sound quality, Bluetooth to connect your phone ect to, would definitely recommend.
- Worked out of the box, bluetooth included. We now have surround sound, jay!
- It a terrific bit of kit. Sounds superb. And the bonus of Bluetooth connection too well and i truly happy.
- The built-in Bluetooth did not connect to any of my devices, I'm not sure why. Probably it's the end-devices but it's still a bit of a bummer.
