- An updated version of previous models, this is a superb upgrade giving you more storage space enabling you to download more much more than previous models.
- Unlike other tablets, such as ipad, it was easy to create age appropriate Internet connections without the ability to purchase anything.
- When you are connected to Wi-Fi, the amount of content on the kids section is astonishing.
- Battery drains pretty quickly and I don't have much storage space and I've got half my stuff on it.
- Not bad has a few issues connecting to some WiFi BT especially.
- Downloads are very quick and storage is adequate for my purposes. I also use its e book reading facility.
- Plenty of storage to download my books. And the Alexa feature is great.
- Very pleased with quality of product its ease of use and the options it provides, from, books, music, video, storage of photographs, range of games and applications.
- Upgraded from my previous Kindle fire for bigger screen and storage only. Continues to do a sterling job. I use for about 3 apps, internet browsing and BOOKS - my main interest. Pleased.
- This works brilliantly. It's fast and has a good quality screen. Plenty of storage space and has a good camera.
- I was concerned about the low pixel count, but I prefer large print and white on black for reading and this tablet is fine for print, and displays the recipes in colour reasonably well.
- Display size is just right for reading a book. Email account was simple to set up.
- This is my fourth Fire so obviously I like the product. This new 16TH model is fast easy to use, with a great display.
- It is a good device, screen clear and easy to use.
- Display quality is really bad, youtube for instance video is barely viewable.
- Fast and with a good bright HD display you can’t go wrong.
- The upgrade to the Fire HD ver 8 is everything I could want and even easier to set up. The display is excellent and exceeds my expectations.
- Battery life is good and the display seems to be pretty good as well. All in all, very happy.
- The Amazon tablets works really well.Great display and long battery life.
- Good for the price though the screen display is a little smaller than I'd like - especially the keyboard.
- Perfect for what I need it for. Good graphics. Quick speed. Bargain price.
- Its pretty fast and responsive, not lighting quick but it does the job. Holding it in your hand is a dream and fits so well.
- Speed, long battery life and great picture quality when watching videos.
- The quad core processor paired with 1GB or RAM (Which is bad for this day and age) proves to be unstable and not good enough for multitasking.
- The biggest improvement besides double the storage size is the quad core processor, it just feels a lot more snappier when compared to the last gen fire 7.
- It is much quicker than my old tablet and the extra storage was a bonus.
- Update to the Fire HD 8 tablet and I find great speed, great display, Alexa built in and a much more streamlined experience.
- I have found the tablet as good as I had expected. It has a nice clear screen and has a good processor in it.
- Processor speed very slow to respond to the screen. WiFi reception weaker than any of my other devices. Cameras terrible.
- Nice compact device. Processor is a little slow but ok as wife using to read books.
- There are plenty free apps and I don't mind paying for the occasional game or book.
- You get really good control over how much web time, videos or games the kids can access, and you can set a 'bedtime', when the kindle will switch off for the day.
- I found the tablet easy to set up and download the apps that I needed, this is no ipad so don't expect too much.
- The only negative is the audio quality, only one speaker and very low volume, pity really as I use the BBC Sound App to catch up on missed radio shows.
- I use the tablet to listen to constant streaming music from internet. However, every few minutes the music is stopped because the tablet receives Amazon notifications about apps etc. which stop the streaming sound.
- Lots of new apps and easy to connect and upload my books and apps, I used this now a lot more than my phone.
- The addition of Alexa is good especially in Show mode. It does feel like a superb tablet that has had corners cut to bring the price down.
- Prime video without too many issues and Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Alexa works well too!
- Great additions such as Alexa. Good screen size. Does everything I want it to do such as e.mails, books, weather, camera and loads more. Good value.
- The alexa feature was very poor and unresponsive in comparison to the 3rd gen dot it replaced.
