About the Product

The new clamshell-design system will be available in a stylish Black + Turquoise colour, as well as White + Orange, and will use the same size large screen found on New Nintendo 3DS XL systems. As the name of the new system implies, visuals will be displayed in 2D only. The system is lighter but still packs the same power as New Nintendo 3DS XL, and has built-in NFC support for amiibo cards and figures. It can play the massive library of quality Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS games in 2D.

When the Nintendo DS was first announced it was dismissed by many as a white elephant with a gimmicky interface and underpowered graphics. Over 15 million sales later and the story is a little different. The DS Lite is fully compatible with all existing Nintendo DS (and Game Boy Advance) games.

The screens are better than I expected, with ample brightness, and after having played a lot of hours on it, good enough resolution.
The memory card is easily accessible so it can be replaced with a larger one if preferred.
It seems a bit odd that this only has 400x240 pixel resolution, especially notable since the mobile gaming has been doing 1080p for years.
Screen is insultingly low resolution and the build quality is hyper basic.
Unfortunately, the bigger screens do NOT mean higher resolution. While the screens are quite a bit larger than the 3DS, the resolution is the same, which results in ugly stretched pixels.

The graphics are good, easy to use.
Superb console for fun with people of most ages. Just finished Chrono Trigger, a masterpiece.
Great for long car journeys or waiting for appointments. Helps occupy youngesters who feel too old to play eye-spy etc.
My grandson loves it he is on it all the time it is very well made,and a very good price,excellent quality.
Excellent quality, well packaged, good price. My son is delighted with his purchase, to replace his other DS that broke.

The screen is a good size and the console feels lightweight . The screen hinge feels durable and there is a C stick I assume is similar to the N64 controller.
The XL series has a large screen without adding any resolution so be prepared to SEE the pixels, it has a nice large screen but it's not a modern mobile phone with ultra high-dpi.
Console was in perfect condition, pretty much new. Brilliant design and clean screen no scratches or marks. Very happy with purchase thank you would order again.
I was rather disappointed with the screens, noticing that Nintendo still use the TN panels, which have been in use for ever!
The screen was opened up is a bit wobbly. Not something that affects game play or enjoyment of the console but just an irritant.

The screen brightness difference is amazing, the original DS is only just about bright enough to match the lowest setting on the LITE and the other three settings make the gamplay crystal clear.
Colours are now vibrant whereas on the old DS colours were washed out.
This version is great, the size and screens make it just perfect, so satisfying.
The screen is a little dark at the top, and it is not the most sensitive, have to allow for that as it is second hand.
In working order and fully charged, but stylus missing although promised and a large hole in the back.

I was very happy when I found out that it is possible to take photos directly from the device.
Good battery life, have many good games such as Pokemon and Tomadachi, many functions like Internet and Camera.
It also has a dust guard for the game card slot and the SD card slot is right next to it, meaning you don't have to use a screwdriver to swap them out any more.
I think they put too many expensive features in the console like 2 cameras when it really wasn't needed and sacrificed build quality.
Photo quality poor although that is what a camera or smartphone is for. Screen quality not very clear a lot of money and disappointed.

Ive got a 8gb micro sdhc card which slots into the m3, and allows me to carry 8gb worth of games all on one cartridge!
Excellent, but I need more up to date solataire dsi games, and other card games and better puzzles if you have them.
The lack of a camera is not a problem for me, I really like all the other aspects.
I love this device, I like absolutely everything, I would like a camera, but without it it’s not bad at all.

The battery life is good and is great as portable fun. This has been so much better than I ever imagined and it has been a fantastic gift.
This gives me a similarly large console with a similar battery life. The battery life itself is extremely impressive.
I love this. It feels very matte. The screen is large, he has awesome battery life, and it's adorable.
The battery life is superb, I have went 3-4 days before charging. The hinge seems perfectly secure, and not seeing any looseness whatsoever.
Battery life is not as good as my DSi but still good enough, think I'm getting about 4 hours. Really pleased I bought it!

The battery life is good, and the unit's case seems fairly robust. A real winner.
Nintendo quoted 5-9 hours of battery life at the brightest setting. While I have no way of proving their quote, I find myself only needing to charge the Lite once every 2-3 days. That is pretty good.
The product itself works great and the battery lasts a decent amount of time. Good purchase overall.
Had this for years still working and great battery life!! No complains, only happiness!
