Garrett Ace 300i

My detector seems to work properly and it has been easy to use righy out of the box.
The machine is both responsive and deep and is enjoyable to use.
Works great just getting back into hobby now that I am retired. Was easy to use and works well so far.
The Garrett Ace 300 is the successor to the popular Ace 250. It features a larger, water proof search coil, providing greater depth detection up to 12in
I do notice that I am digging quite a bit more junk, mainly bottle caps. I think this may be due to the digital technology and the DD coils used.

Garrett ACE 400i Metal Detector

The DD coil makes a huge difference when hunting on property that has a ton of trash and iron throughout it.
This is a major upgrade over the ACE 150 and 250. It handles interference much, much better and the DD coil separates signals way better.
Overall i am very happy with the machine. I even was getting clear signal from coins that were 10 and 12 inches down with this standard coil.
Iron audio is great. Affordable and surprisingly powerful. Large coil. I love the digital target ID.
Coil is large enough to cover a lot of area but might work against you when a finer discrimination is required.

The Garrett Ace 300 is ergonomically designed, light-weight and easy to swing.
It is so light and balanced with the 5x8" DD coil, but yet feels sturdy.
Garrett reliability is great. This detector can be modified with different search coils. Great little machine.
The overall weight is under 3lbs, making it light and easy to carry, even for younger users.
I find the weight of the machine sits a little forward on my forearm as a result, and I do notice it after swinging for long sessions.

Garrett ACE 400i Metal Detector

This unit is awesome! Not heavy and all the features you need unless you want to put the whole unit in water.
This metal detector is awesome I am not 100% healthy and it is so light weight I was able to use it for 2 1/2 hours the first time out with it!
The headphones that come with it are very nice, small and comfortable, not big and bulky like the rapper headphones in a studio pair.
The detector is light and easy to swing for hours. It hits on targets even better that I expected and the display is quite accurate at identifying your find before digging.
Nice build, super light weight, and easy to read display. Go for it!

Garrett Ace 300i

I went out and did my first dig and I was hooked. I didn't want to stop and went all day at it.
I already found my first wheat penny and a couple regular pennies and 2 old bottle caps an old nail and 2 more other metal objects i haven't yet identified.
I loved that I know there will be something to find..every time! So much fun..
I would recommend it for anybody who is just starting out because it has just enough options to make metal detecting enjoyable.
Very nice unit. I took it out for a few trial runs and it was detecting clearly and consistently on test pieces.

Garrett ACE 400i Metal Detector

The pin point feature helps track down the main signal as long as there aren't multiple buried objects.
This is by far the best to start using whilst you get into metal detecting!!!!
I had some lovely finds with this machine, half sovereign and some other coins, this machine then got given to my daughter, within minutes she has finds with this machine, coin after coin and they're usually silver.
This is a super entry level machine that can handle a good session and it wont let you down for the good finds.
So, in conclusion, the Ace 400 is a superb mid-level machine, accurate, easy to use and if an object is there it will find it up to roughly 10" depending on size and conditions.

Came with headphones, cover for electric box, cover for coil, and booklets. So was a great deal!
I chose this one over the Ace 200 because it had the numbers and the pinpointer on this machine. The 250 only has icons, no numbers. The 200 only had numbers, yet no pinpointer.
These Garrett detectors are well built and its nice that they include the coil cover, headphones and an all weather cover for the display box.
This metal detector has a low, medium and high tone, signifying the item.
The controls are simple and easy to use and the Ace 300 has a digital target ID, letting you know what's underground, before you dig.

Was great to get ear phones, control cover and coil cover with it free.
A very impressive machine, accurate and very easy to learn the numbers which are good to dig and the deep low sounds which are iron.
Iron audio sounds on this machine is a winner and helps stop you digging all the rubbish.
The iron audio discrimination button is awesome!! Except when you have an iron target real close to say a silver target.
99% of the time the 400 pin point button will give you two separate tones to tell you hey, this could be a iron and silver target close together!!
