It's a great size, has a great standard lens, picture quality is amazing and most importantly my girlfriend fell in love with it as soon as she opened it.
It's small size this camera is powerful. I've been able to capture such nice images that I've surprised myself.
The lack of weight on the combination means I can shoot for hours without wearing out my arms and shoulders, I've invested in some decent silicone armour for the body.
It's light, good build quality, easy to work and very pleasing to use.
The megapixels are higher than my Pentax but the build quality doesnt seem to be as good, this feels like cheap plastic because of the lack of weight.

Camera is a nice weight, not to heavy but also not too light! Battery life seems really good, took hundreds of shots so far and battery bar still showing as full!
It is a great starter camera and ideal purchase for a relative doing GCSE Photography. Light weight, simple functions.
The camera body is light weight but solidly built. I do wish camera manufacturers would include a memory card with the product though.
It is light to carry and that is something that I personally like. After all, not everyone wants something too complicated and this is affordable and a good introduction.
Maybe it is a good camera but I wish it had been half the size and weight or that the lens has zoomed in and out for me.

Good ISO (low light) performance – Image noise at high ISO was quite well controlled, usable up to ISO1600.
I have used camera with some very pleasing results, particularly when photographing in RAW format, in good light, processing with the included DPP software.
Video footage is good; though there is no opportunity to attach an external microphone (there is on the 100D), and it's not particularly great in low light settings.
I found it to produce a bit of noise at ISO 400, anything 800 and above, aren't very nice.
The video quality is abysmal at anything over 200 ISO. Anything black or in shadows is full of thick grain and a flickering red tint.

ISO is quite high, this is vital for low light shooting. It’s quick and surprisingly responsive! Autofocus is good for something of this price point.
Amazing picture quality, easy to use, great low light photos as well as long exposures, would highly recommend and great value for money.
The 18 mega pixels means you get a crystal clear image and can take many great pictures to add to your collection.
It works terribly in low light, the pictures are dark and not high quality.
When I change ISO to a higher indicator, a lot of noise occurs. It is very annoying and makes it difficult to concentrate on my work.

Good LCD screen – Bright and sharp, easy to review your photos, daylight visible.
The movies are shot using the screen as a monitor, and you can also shoot stills at the same time as shooting movies.
The viewfinder has a focus ring to get the viewfinder focused to suit your eyes. The focus is spot on in the centre.
The rear viewing screen is fixed, which makes selfies difficult, but the quality of the image is good.
It's not a touch screen but is controlled by a number of buttons etc.

The menu setting, with the Quick Menu, the control and ease of accessing what you need, make up for the fixed LCD screen, smaller optical viewfinder and the plastic feel of the camera.
The screen resolution is amazing. Very beautiful photos and rich colors turn out.
Screen size speaks for its compactness. Great screen for those who are going to travel. On the screen, you can clearly see the photographs taken.
The viewing screen is smaller and it's fixed (2.7 inches). Also it takes the Canon EF lenses.
A small screen on which it is difficult to view any photo or video.

Within a week im on manual mode and feel confident enough to change most settings.
Easy to use got every mode you need as an amateur and has produced so very professional looking photos.
Great camera especially for the price, lens is perfect, love the different modes and quality, fast delivery and all accessories accounted for and in perfect condition.
The auto focus is great but you do have to lightly press the shutter button, make sure that the switch on the lens is set to autofocus.
This camera body is not water sealed, so any accumulated rain/water that gets on it, should be cleared off quickly.

The mode dial is easy to use and each is explained on the digital screen when you select it.
The options themselves allow you to try different modes depending on what you are photographing. Whether you wish to take a picture of a landscape or a person or object.
Ideal shutter speed. The silent shutter allows me to shoot in any place, even in the library you can use it.
I was very upset when I found out that I couldn't take photos in the rain since this device is not waterproof.
My main goal for buying a camera was the ability to take panoramic shots. This camera does not have this function to unfortunately.

I am very pleased even with the presence of PictBridge technology that gives me the opportunity to print photos directly from the camera.
I very quickly transfer photos of the camera to the computer using the usb cable.
HDMI transfers the image to my TV with the same accuracy as on the camera.
An external connection for a microphone would be good but not available on this model.
It doesn't have some of the fancy features like GPS geotagging or WIFI, and maybe the focusing system isn't perfect.

The camera does have Wi-Fi connectivity, plus a Quick Menu, which allows you to easily access commonly used settings.
There are ports for two different cable types for connecting to you computer. This option is easy to use.
The camera app does work well and you can transfer pictures to Flickr and Instagram easily enough via wi-fi.
The wifi connection is unstable when I try to transfer photos, the connection is interrupted, very upset by this.
The HDMI connector does not see the cable, probably there were broken parts. It does not allow transferring photos via the HDMI cable.
