- Excellent item for music - on Stereo mode or if you watching Movies in 5.1 , it will be perfect !
- This was a pleasant surprise. The sound was clear & crisp. Movie soundtrack was well detailed. Using it in my bedroom & very happy with it.
- At a moderate volume level, it provides very good music sound quality.
- To a small room and a good listening environment, the power is more than enough to enjoy musics and movies.
- A really excellent piece of kit. Compact and full of features. But really delivers where it counts - the sound quality is fantastic for both movies and music.
- The Amplifier is amazing. I'm using with Jamo A102 speakers and replaced an old Jamo AV receiver. The difference is huge! As a stereo amplifier working great as well.
- Sound. Wow. I wasn't expecting the ethereal sound but that is what you get with the Marantz and Audyssey room calibration. Amazing.
- I'm running 7 channels (no sub) and the volume and EQ balance between the speakers is pure art.
- Sound quality is great. Had it up and running as well as calibrated in about an hour. Cant recommend this enough. Was not disappointed.
- After using the NR1608 for about a week, mainly to play vinyls and watch UHD Blu Rays, I can easily say that I've heard fine details (using a 5.2 speaker setup) that were lost on previous systems.
- Passes full 4k HDR across from both Xbox and PS4 and sounds great.
- Relatively easy to set up and easy to use. so pleased. Ideal for the small space I have.
- The function of internet radio is great and there are plenty of excellent 320 bitrate music channels to select.
- After few weeks of using it I am still surprised how good sound quality and all those features can be build in one very affordable box.
- Also like the internet radio function - we are running from ethernet and not WiFi as it sits in a cabinet and the WiFi aerials cannot be extended and would be shielded within the cabinet.
- I use it for 5.1, and have not added Atmos speakers yet, sounds fantastic. Audyssey room correction is really great!
- DTS Virtual X (with update) creates a faux surround with non surround tracks.
- Heos connections to wireless speakers around the house, perfect! Very easy to setup and use via remote or app.
- One of the best features is 4K upsampling for all your HDMI video sources... it really does clean up SD video very well... much better than my TV can!
- Mine feeds a mixture of 4ohm fronts (efficient floorstanders) and centre and 8 ohm rears (bipole) plus a powered sub with no problems at all, and can reach a loud level in a medium sized room.
- System set up was easy. It could play various lossless audio file through USB storage media such as portable hard disk drive.
- Easy to set up - microphone to assess the room and listening positions - all very high tech and sounds great
- Overall performance so far is really great and especially like the HDMI loop through which cuts down the cable connections on the back of the TV.
- I even got my Virgin Tifo and PS4 box fitted through the receiver which is great.
- Purchased as a replacement for a receiver in order to take advantage of modern HDMI connections.
- All content sounds great from Atmos UHD BR and Xbox One X games with the Atmos add-on. That's not forgetting 8 HDMI, AirPlay 2 etc etc.
- What drove me to this unit was the flexibility to pre-out the mains to an external amplifier, which I have done
- We are using this to watch streaming TV and movies from an Amazon Fire cube, 4K blu-rays and movies on a HTPC connected by HDMIs.
- It is a breeze to hookup with step by step on-screen lead through teaching. I have four of the HDMI inputs used and a pair of the RCA's for a pre-amped phono.
- Plenty of ins and outs. Video quality to 4K is excellent, and the return channel audio from the TV makes making use of SmartTV features a cinch.
