Sound performance is good. This model brings a lovely warm, natural and detailed sound, an altogether enchanting presence.

Excellent item for music - on Stereo mode or if you watching Movies in 5.1 , it will be perfect !
This was a pleasant surprise. The sound was clear & crisp. Movie soundtrack was well detailed. Using it in my bedroom & very happy with it.
At a moderate volume level, it provides very good music sound quality.
To a small room and a good listening environment, the power is more than enough to enjoy musics and movies.
A really excellent piece of kit. Compact and full of features. But really delivers where it counts - the sound quality is fantastic for both movies and music.

This amp is only 5.1 which suits my requirements perfectly. This amplifier looks nice, is well built and performs very well
Blu-Ray displays the same level in terms of both picture & sound quality. It does seem particularly adept with music.
Highly recommended, absolutely exceeds my expectations. In conjunction with Apple devices and Sony TV and Blueray a super device.
Bought this about two months ago and it works fab with our 4K TV

Marantz NR1508 5 Channel Slim AV Receiver

Passes full 4k HDR across from both Xbox and PS4 and sounds great.
Relatively easy to set up and easy to use. so pleased. Ideal for the small space I have.
The function of internet radio is great and there are plenty of excellent 320 bitrate music channels to select.
After few weeks of using it I am still surprised how good sound quality and all those features can be build in one very affordable box.
Also like the internet radio function - we are running from ethernet and not WiFi as it sits in a cabinet and the WiFi aerials cannot be extended and would be shielded within the cabinet.

Connectivity is excellent, setup is a doodle.
Wireless. Yamaha dependability. I have bought many Yamaha receivers back to the 70's and none has ever failed.
Powering a Definitive Technology 5.1 sound bar over a 65" samsung TV. Inputs are Sony Blue ray, Dish box, and media server.
Switching between various HDMI components is simple.
Picked for the good selection of inputs, the DACs, and modest power. Mostly use to listen from cable tv (hdmi), bluray (hdmi), airplay (wifi), fm radio, and internet radio.

Marantz NR1508 5 Channel Slim AV Receiver

System set up was easy. It could play various lossless audio file through USB storage media such as portable hard disk drive.
Easy to set up - microphone to assess the room and listening positions - all very high tech and sounds great
Overall performance so far is really great and especially like the HDMI loop through which cuts down the cable connections on the back of the TV.
I even got my Virgin Tifo and PS4 box fitted through the receiver which is great.
Purchased as a replacement for a receiver in order to take advantage of modern HDMI connections.
