- Never let me down. Still in a perfect working condition that's why I got this new PL-990. It's a great full automatic device.
- Easy to set up, fully automatic operation and a very decent sound.
- Very good record player easy to use as fully automatic.
- Fantastic quality turntable with either manual or fully automatic modes.
- Fantastic turntable, good sound and very easy to use. Fully automatic makes it very simple to use. Good sound too.
- There is some self assembly required for the record turntable itself and the belt but this is very simple and the instructions are very clear.
- Still listening to records, and can't imagine the sound could be that much better on a vinyl record player, and easy to use with button functions providing automatic play.
- Easy to set up and operate, also the automatic function. Stylish looks.
- The turntable works great, I like the automatic system (its safer and more accurate than using my own hands) and the sound for pound is outstanding.
- I loved the sound then and I love the sound now. I just had to buy a fully automatic to roll back the years and trust me I am not disappointed.
- Turntable is quite light in weight out of box set up is quite easy and direct.
- Construction quality if good. It's not too heavy and it's not too light.
- It's pretty lightweight, but feels pretty decent quality.
- The head and tone are are perfectly weighted and balanced as well, straight out of the box.
- I ordered this and did not even bother to connect it up as I was disappointed right from the start, it felt cheap, light and of poor quality.
- Great looking turntable, light weight, great quality sound.
- The build quality is flimsier than I expected but this isn't a problem - at least it's light.
- The Sony turntable looks sleek and is slimline, you'll find it quite light in weight.
- Neat size, easy to use, would recommend you buy this one.
- The arm/head are lightweight and the mechanism is clunky and is reflective of the worst elements of Sony.
- Grapelli sounded superb; the record brought out the full dynamic range and tonal quality of his violin.
- He uses the full range so the low notes came out sweet and the very high notes were smooth. The backing musicians were great too.
- The moving magnet cartridge and diamond needle improve frequency response.
- Sounds good, doesn't look cheap....can't stop playing my records..... 100% recommended.
- No need for a pre amp with this player, sounds good with new and old vinyl, would suggest buying record cleaning fluid for old lp's.
- The stylus in fact excels :the bass is very very good, and the treble is a compliment instead of the tinny noises you had years ago sometimes.
- For a casual record collector or someone who is looking to start a collection it's perfect.
- My husband has a record collection that hasn't been played for years. He is absolutely delighted with this birthday gift. Sounds perfect.
- Major negatives though; the needle/stylus is far too light, meaning it skips at random points on even brand new records.
- The turntable is excellent but we received it without a stylus. A stylus is a basic necessity for a turntable.
- The quality of the construction is good quality plastic and the design is all clean lines giving a kind of retro modern feel reminiscent of the linear track turntables of the 80s.
- Assembly was relatively quick and easy. I just had to put the platter in place, attach the belt onto the pulley (The opening on the left on this model btw), and add the mat.
- This is a modern unit and you wont have to search for international sellers to order parts like a replacement stylus or belt should you need to.
- The integrated phono lead is incredibly short which means the amplifier will need to be placed very close to the turntable. Pioneer should have made it a few inches longer.
- The RCA cables are short but this is not a problem for me as I stack it immediately above my amp.
- Still listening to records, and can't imagine the sound could be that much better on a vinyl record player, and easy to use with button functions providing automatic play.
- Good quality turntable, plug and play with my (very old) amplifier and rest of kit.
- I've not connected it to my pc yet. I just plugged it into the aux/TV input on my dvd player. There's a switch on the back of the record player for phono or pre amp.
- Playback has been smooth and crystal clear, and I personally love the way the table looks.
- The turntable has a tedency to skip across the record, which is obviously extremely annoying.
