Based on years of cutting plotter technology by Graphtec, the Silhouette SD Digital Craft Cutter brings professional style computer controlled cutting to the desktop.
The Silhouette Portrait® is an electronic cutting machine for personal use. Like a home printer, it plugs into your PC or Mac® with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing, it uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric, and other material up to 8 inches wide and 10 feet long.

- I use this to cut vinyl, fabric and more! It works perfectly fine. I had it for about a year now!
- All things considered pleasure to use and definitely worth the money and the gain of time and precision in cutting materials.
- Love this little machine, great space saver compared to the larger versions. Easy to use and can cut a very wide variety of materials.
- The only complaint is that the software doesn't work perfectly with my computer (windows 10) so I need to contact their support team.
- This only cuts very thin materials - contrary to what the description says, I have been unable to cut thin chipboard or cork sheets.

- Brilliant! Perfect for a first timer. Cuts thick material very well.
- I love it, better than the old machines that you have to turn the handle, this machine cuts very fine detailed dies.

- The blade settings and paper feeder are easy to use. I have cut varying thicknesses of paper and heat transfer material so far.
- I have used the blade and mat about 20 times and both still have life for many more cuts. Glad I choose this over the other types of cutters.
- Simple and durable printer. The learning curve is not very steep with the cutting program and this printer makes great cuts for thin materials.
- I no longer have wasted material using this cutter. You can cut pieces as small as 3x2 inches. Fast and efficient.
- This product gave me a lot of problems. The cut would not align properly and I wasted a lot of materials because of it.

- The software is amazing, you can design and cut just about anything.
- I am pleased with the software that came with it (flexible design capabilities) and it is pretty much the perfect size for my needs.
- The software is incredibly easy to use...the cuts are flawless...and wow is it fast! You can even see exactly what will be cut before you hit the button.
- And if I wanted to gripe, the front door is stupid. It hides the buttons, and indicator lights. It has to be open to operate. So why is it there?
- The blade was extremely difficult to place in. Once I got it in I tested the product and the auto blade did not use the correct cutting settings.
