If you're used to holding a heftier camera body, you'll have to work to hold this one steady, it's so lightweight.
Great, lightweight camera. Easy to use. Picture quality is good.
Great camera, great pictures. Easy to operate and the size is perfect.
It fits in your pocket or purse very nicely. Have not been able to use under water yet, still to cold.
The size and shape of this camera are well suited to small hands, not so much to my hands, and my middle-aged-man hands are not that big.

It is quite heavy compared to my other (less expensive) Nikon digital cameras, but I like the weight; it makes me feel like I have gotten a better camera.
It's size and durability, insure that I'll always have it ready, when I'm in the water. It's simple to use, and can take a beating.
I purchased this for a trip thinking it would be perfect because of the compact size and the zoom.
I purchased this primarily for the 4K video, which I think is fantastic for a camera of this size. The video quality is indeed something to rave about coming from a camera of this size.

What is really great about this camera: it has superb image quality for its class.
In good light, the pictures are very sharp and clean, with true colors, little noise, and great detail.
The flash illuminates pretty evenly and provides enough light for sharp indoor photos.
Bought this camera for a trip to Spain and was very disappointed with the bad quality of the photos.
Many pictures were blurry and most of the images were dull and not true to color.

Easy to use! I literally pointed and shot. I liked the latitude of ISO which allows decent Low light shots. And video worked well too.
This model impressed me most due to the quality of its chassis and comfortable fit in my hand, its superior display monitor, its 24–120mm equivalent focal length range (the super-wide angle especially attracted me)
It supports recording at UltraHD resolution 4K (XAVC S 3840 x 2160) at 30p.
Picture quality is fairly decent for a camera with this size sensor
I purchased this for a trip thinking it would be perfect because of the compact size and the zoom. The zoom is very disappointing, doesn't get nearly as close up as I had hoped.

The screen fogged and I thought I'd ruined it. But after letting it dry it's been fine.
The screen looks bright and clear, you can see well in the water, a suitable size.
Cool diving camera with a crystal-clear screen that allows you to view everything under water.
It was a little difficult to see the screen when in the sun and water.
The screen is too small so you cannot see what on it, and you cannot take pictures from 3’-4’ and needs to be closer.

The picture and video captured by this camera are just outstanding, and the LCD display is really fantastic.
I love the traditional buttons on the side of the camera, that lets me zoom in and out, while seeing on the display the preview, and it’s just practical and simply to use.
The monitor display on this W300 is so much better than the one on my old DMC-FX30 that it is now much easier for me to notice when the exposure needs adjustment.
If sunlight is really bright, display is hard to see when snorkeling.

This is a good camera. Good picture quality and the waterproofing works well.
The camera is waterproof and doesn't cost too much, the quality of the pictures is ok.
So durable! When they say waterproof and shockproof they are not kidding. Simple to use.
This camera is NOT waterproof. Well, maybe if you drop it in a puddle. I took it snorkeling and within the first 20 minutes, it clouded up, got condensation, and was essentially useless.
If you want a cheap waterproof camera that's better than a disposable, this is ok but if you have a few more $$ to spend, you might consider more advanced models.

Great underwater camera! I took it on my first scuba diving trip down 18.5 meters for 50 minutes and got good pics!
It is dustproof, and shock resistant. With a great resilience under cold weather.
Being shockproof is a HUGE plus, since I have dropped my current camera and beat the crap out of it, and when I dropped my previous Nikon, which I ADORED, I broke the viewing screen.
The fact that this camera is waterproof to a depth of 30m/100ft is interesting
This Nikon W300 Waterproof Camera is a workhorse camera, perfect for most all situations. First, it's waterproof - it really can be wetted or submerged, take pictures underwater, works in the rain, works if you drop your coffee on it, it works

Wi-Fi works well, without disconnects and fast enough, bright screen, lightweight.
The USB port is great for downloading my photos to a computer, also a good wifi connection.
On this camera the usb port is much faster than on my previous one, which was a very nice addition.
Stable wifi signal, high-quality housing and shockproof in fact, I checked.
This camera is easy enough to operate but it's a pain in the ... to get the cable plugged in to charge the battery and I am so far unable to download images to my computer.

I like the GPS capability and the altitude readout on the screen since I do a lot of mountain backpacking.
Surprise feature: Direct micro USB charging! No proprietary wires to lose or wall plug thingy's, and you can recharge on the go using standard cell phone battery banks.
The W300 has lots of new Wifi/Blutooth and GPS stuff and a number of scenes
I purchased this camera because of the advertised ruggedness and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. Both the Bluetooth and the Wifi are a complete failure. I should have read the reviews for the Nikon SnapBridge app which are abmissmal.

Holds a good charge on the rechargeable battery that comes with it along with a wall charger and cable.
The battery is unbelievable! I used it on vacation in Canada for 10 days, took 100's of pictures and still have not had to recharge it.
This version seems to have more battery life/power storage then previous.
One of this camera's very few negatives is that with the included charger cable, you must keep the battery in the camera and plug in the entire camera to charge it.
Battery life is SHORT - when it dies, everything resets, including the date.

The button lay out makes sense, it has a long battery life, the image quality is great.
Good battery life as long as you don't forget it is on.
No cradle means you have to open the camera and charge the battery while it is in the camera. So if you want to have extra batteries charged and ready when you need them. You need to charge them all in the camera or find an after market external charger.
