- The result is a micro polished edge which is finer that you can produce with a traditional stone.
- It's still going strong after 2 years, doing an excellent job having sharpened 3 sets of family knives repeatedly over all this time.
- My knives always look smooth afterwards and more importantly, they are beautifully sharp.
- I already owned one of these for a couple of years and it is a fantastic machine sharpening all our knives quickly and easily.
- It is an excellent machine, all our knives are now extremely sharp and we are able to cut meat, vegetables etc. very easily.
- It is a diamond impregnated flexible disk on the third stage. It removes the bead of metal remaining from the middle disk, and then polishes the edge, maintaining the correct angle.
- The sharpener has worked pefectly with with everything that I own: from cheap pen knives to expensive German-engineered stainless steel kitchen cleavers.
- The abrasive wheels are spring-loaded, so you can't easily make a big "ding" in the edge of a blade.
- This 3 stage unit is an enormous improvement. Sharpens knives quickly and effectively.
- The frustrating thing about it was trying to maintain the correct angle when stroking the stone, especially on the curved sections of a blade. I could never get the kind of edge I wanted.
- The first sharpening with this product took a lot of time to set the dual-bevel. But in the end you get a very sharp knife.
- A rubber foot became lost so I called the company and they just mailed me one for free.
- Sort of sharpens. Bevel is way to severe and knives never achieve the level of sharpness I was getting with hand, drag thru sharpeners.
- This sharpener will only sharpen the tips of the serrations, eventually grinding them down. I don't recommend doing this as there are better but more labor intensive ways to sharpen a serrated knife.
- You can't use it on asian knives with a 15 degree edge. The motor sounds weak.
