- This router is a welcome addition for me over my previous one. I only have 75Mbps internet so the AC1750 more than handles my needs.
- This is a nice upgrade from the RT56 from a few years ago. I currently have 200MBPS internet at my home. And my old router only allowed about 50MBPS per device.
- The Wi-Fi speed is very acceptable and copes well with my multitude of clients.
- Wi-Fi speed improved, especially when further away from router.
- Excellent N-WiFi speeds for internal copying and 1Gbps internal wired connections.
- For this the range is excellent, the Wireless speed is excellent as well.
- Easy to set up, excellent speeds and great Wi-Fi range.
- The "Authentication Method" to WPA-Auto-Personal, and "WPA Encryption" to TKIP+AES settings allow for better compatibility if you have a mix of newer and older devices to support.
- I quickly set up PPTP with MPPE-128 bit encryption to connect from my mac and pc and I set up OpenVPN, which wasn't so quick as it required some tweaking.
- The range of the wireless connection is improved.
- Network generally seems to work better with fewer problems, crashes, etc.
- Nice GUI with lots of features that are over my head.
- QoS and other features seem to work well for the most part.
- I eventually flashed a derivative of the ASUS firmware called "Merlin" which has even more options, such as scripting, security enhancements, etc.
- There's even RADUIS Server options to further add security to WiFi, which has excellent signal strength by the way.
