I discovered the newer WRT54GL gave me wireless download speeds of 20 Mbps. The older WRT54G would only produce 12 Mbps.
The G speed is more than adequate for currently available high speed internet in this country.
This one is truly easy set up, plug and play, speed, it's fast enough for my ISP speed.
I have had no problems. Speed is excellent and connections reliable.
Faster speed, more bandwidth, portable internet everywhere we go.

It has greater range, and the buffers are shorter. So, yes, I am happy with my newly acquired Linksys WRT54GL router.
Bought this router because our old one doesn't have enough range for our new house. Great range.
Range is good so keep the thing away from windows if possible.
Easy to set up, fantastic range and signal, no issues.
The range is pretty good as well, though it does have a little bit of a problem through multiple walls.

You can flash this router with DD-WRT and configure NordVPN to secure your entire network with OpenVPN.
The router incorporates top notch features and security.
Good router. It has lots of nice security features.
The firewall is very simple, it is either on or off and you set the ports you would like allowed through the port forwarding settings.
Security setup took five minutes after the router arrived in the mail and it's been rock solid ever since.

It has quick to access security settings and parental controls etc.
The Netgear Genie software is superb and has pretty much all the tools you will ever need. Very secure.
Stand provided giving the space saving option of sitting vertically. Good secure features.
Unfortunately the "feature" from the BT Home Hub is present here. WHS UPnP simply does not work.
Don't buy it for the parental controls - they just don't work at all!
