This scanner is fine if you want to only scan flat opaque documents.
I have scanned in old photos and painted artwork perfectly.

Together w/SilverFast software, it does a great job scanning 4x5 and 220 film.

Epson software is robust a simple. Silver Fast is another story, weird interface and buggy.
Operation of the software is slow and tedious.
