Bought a pair and I really enjoy these nearfield monitors. They sound clear and perfectly balanced.
You can hear the most minor details in your recordings and/or if you are using them for listening to music or watching movies etc.
They get surprisingly loud for their size and the bass response is quite good as well.
Even at low volumes, it's easy to hear right into the music and transient details are accurately conveyed.
The woofer makes an incomprehensible sound that is not like any of the sound that I make.

Genelec 8010 APM

The ISS disable control switches off the auto-standby mode, which drops power to below 0.5W when no input signal is present.
The acoustic design of the enclosure and the wave guiding of the front baffle that covers the whole 8000 series allows excellent off axis response and stereo field accuracy.
Maximum output around 96dB SPL at 1m - a realistic listening distance for this size monitor.
The quality of sound is also good. I'm happy with this acquisition. For a home studio the're too good.
The sound is great,ultra clear even in complex music listening. The sound localization of 8010 is insanely accurate.

Adam Audio A3X 4" Woofer Nearfield Monitor

I ended up using the A3X most of the time now and I am very impressed by the sound for such a small speaker. Also great for a mobile traveling setup.
Very compact and well built. Larger-than-life sound with excellent stereo imaging.
A3X is small, but they are quite powerful. The top two corners of the sturdy and well-designed cases have stylish bevels.
This is something perfect between size and weight, I fell in love with this thing.
The speaker broke the shelf on which he stood talking about his weight. It is very heavy.

Genelec 8010 APM

Though relatively light (1.5kg), the 8010As are solid thanks to the die-cast aluminium enclosure, with metal driver grilles to prevent damage in transit.
The first feeling is ultra-compact. The average person can hold it without pressure with one hand.
I am simply in love with this tiny speaker. It has incredible performance for its size.
Perfect size and weight is slightly heavy that i thought. But the sound quality is perfect ! You can't imagine such a small monitor can perform like a monster.
Its weight is not too light - 1.5kg, still a very heavy glimpse in the hand.

Even though 60Hz is the lowest these monitors can reproduce, the bass is still darn powerful, good and detailed.
Amazing clarity in the high ends and real sub frequency monitoring with the subpac.
The character is warm, clear and punchy, and there's a good amount of mid-range detail. In particular, the upper-mids and highs come across well, making it a joy to use for work.
4.5 "driver with a carbon fiber diaphragm, extremely lightweight material, but with the necessary rigidity in order to cope perfectly with sound transmission.
Not magnetically shielded. Not suitable for low-end focused mixes.

Genelec 8010 APM

A Sensitivity switch pads the input by -10dB to adjust the external volume control range.
With a monitor of this size we would expect a harshness in the highs and upper-mids that is not in evidence here at all, and we have been happily working away without any ear fatigue.
The mid-frequencies are well-balanced and accurate, making mixing and tonal decisions quick and easy.
The sound is straight and clean, the low frequency is beyond expectations.
I didn't expect the 3-inch woofer to have such a large amount of energy.

StereoLink technology is a pair of additional RCA connectors from which an additional stereo signal is removed.
The bass ports are also located in the front, giving you the ability to mount your ADAM A3X studio monitors tight against the wall.
The power switch and volume control are conveniently located on the front panel for easier use.
Inside, the ADAM A3X case is upholstered with a special fleece that prevents internal resonance and improves bass display.
On the rear panel are tweeter volume controls, an AC switch, balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA, and RCA-StereoLink. There are also holes for mounting and suspension. Everything works great.

Portability is key, with power and input sockets neatly tucked in at the rear.
It comes eswith tiltable Iso-Pod rubber stands attached, simultaneously taking care of axis angle and transmission reduction.
