The AMT tweeters do indeed produce a clarity that is hard to describe.
These are extremely revealing, and had clearly played details that were not coming out of the JBLS.
Powerful enough speaker to fill a large room with great sound.
This speaker has excellent woofer and tweeter that produce crisp and clear sound.
After a month of use, the tweeter began to make an unpleasant noise due to which I had to buy a new speaker.

I’ve been to a lot of studios and have used many speakers. These monitors are hands down the best bang for the buck.
It provides 100% dynamic, detailed, accurate and balanced sound.
I am very happy with this purchase as speakers allows me effectively hear everything as intended without colouring or deliberately exaggerating some frequencies.
Overall the clarity of all the components of sounds with all settings on flat is such a pleasure to hear.
Excellent speakers that allow me to listen to my favorite songs with different frequencies.

These things sound unbelievably good for their size.
The best features are the convenient size, light weight, and the acoustic tuning.
They produce clean and incredible full range sound, they amaze me for their size. The size is excellent not very large and not very small.
It is a perfect size for my smallish studio and pack a nice punch with great sound quality.
I like the design, not too heavy just the right size. I highly recommend this speaker.

Overall, Alpha 65 is compact but heavier than expected.
Compact speaker that will look good on any table.
The ideal size that fits anywhere and the weight is not too heavy so everything is perfect.
Very heavy. This caused difficulties in installing it, and it was also able to damage my back.
I had to call a friend who will help me with his weight because for me it was a very heavy thing.

I loved these R65 speakers. They sounded really clear and gave you enough low end that there was no need for a sub.
These are pretty awesome studio monitors. I use them primarily for mixing and recording metal. They have a good flat sound without being non lively with good bass response.
These speakers are perfect for a home studio set up. These shine really well in the mid and high frequencies.
The mid range is clear and the low is not punchy compared to other speakers in its class. The Controls are real and not just cute knobs like many inexpensive active monitors.
The bass will distort if you go too high same for the mids.

Extremely accurate and easy on the ear with no fatigue. I was concerned about the lows not being up to par, but they are plenty, tight, and well articulated!
Mids are clear and not muddy at all. Highs are extremely, extremely detailed and separated.
Linear frequency response. Detailed, clean and extended highs. Good low frequency extension.
I like these monitors a lot but under a year of owning a pair, one of the monitor woofers is making a scratchy noise when producing low-mid range tones, perhaps the voice coil is damaged.
A month later, an unpleasant sound appeared at low frequencies.

The monitors look very nice, and they are very straightforward when it comes to hooking up the included cords.
These speakers appear to be built better and more solid materials for the speaker itself.
The material feels clean and high quality. They have a decent weight to them.
The two EQ controls on the back are nice. The bass is also very clear and plenty for me as I'm just using it in my small amateur studio.
They have a really strong built, great sound, independent bass and high control, balanced jack 1/4 input, etc.

Front-ported bass serves my space extremely well and this was one of few options with that form factor out there.
Where Focal Alpha 65 really come to shine is the performance. The moment you flip that power switch to ON position, you will learn what first class transparency sounds like.
They have added hard panels on each side of the cabinet, which considerably improve the aesthetics of these speakers.
Discomfort is that power On/Off switch is on the back.
The electronics for this speaker were not designed very carefully. I can hear the hiss if I am sitting about one foot in front of the tweeter and is quiet in the room.
