Future-Proofing
For the most part, Aukey PA-Y12-CA is the best USB charger on the list. The biggest contributor here is the 3.0 USB-C port with up to 46-watt power delivery. It is able to effectively and efficiently charge compatible devices, taking far less time to do so than USB-A.
At the same time, the model is packing an additional 10.5-watt USB-A port that has no issues powering all 5V USB devices, featuring an output up to 2.1 amps.
The only issue we have with the charger compared to almost every other entry on the list is that it adopts but one USB-A port. As you'd imagine, you wouldn't be able to use this model to charge more than 2 devices simultaneously.
On the bright side, it is really impressive how this charger is packing combined 56.5W of power into its compact form. Measuring 64 x 63 x 29 millimetres in overall dimensions, the model can be hidden inside just about any pocket. Plus, with its foldable two-prong plug, the charger is especially easy to store and use.
On the safety front, this charger incorporates every safeguard in the book to protect your gadgets against excessive current, overheating, and overcharging.
Bottom line, Aukey PA-Y12-CA is about speed and future-proofing. Incorporating Power Delivery 3.0, the model is able to charge your iPhone X (or any other compatible device) to 50% in 30 minutes. The plastic build is robust enough and the housing does not heat up at all. It offers equally high power and high speed.

Five Ports
Anker AK-A2124212's biggest strength is its biggest flaw too. The model is packing five USB-A ports with up to 2.4 Amps per port. Generally speaking, there's no downside to having as many ports as possible. Besides, we commend the people behind the product for fitting 5 ports into the model's relatively compact form (91 x 58 x 27 millimetres in overall dimensions).
At the same time, you cannot fit so many ports into such a compact form without sacrificing convenience and practicality in return. It's not huge but the ports are too close to each other, often making it difficult/inconvenient to plug/unplug different gadgets separately.
You'd think that 2.4 Amps per port isn't enough but, incorporating PowerIQ™ and VoltageBoost™ tech, the model is able to charge different devices quickly and efficiently.
In the safety department, the charger adopts the company's trademark MultiProtect safety system. Featuring surge protection, temperature control, and many more advanced safety features, the model works wonders keeping you and your gadgets safe.
The LED indicator lights are a nice touch too, especially for home use.
In short, Anker AK-A2124212 is probably the lightest and most compact 5-port USB charger in its price range. It will let you recharge every device/gadget in the house simultaneously. You can use the model as an iPad charger. It is an excellent battery charger. You'll be able to charge multiple laptops. The 1.5-metre detachable power cord doesn't keep you too tied to the next outlet.

Charge Your Gadgets Anywhere You Go
Lencent USB Charger Plug is the most well-balanced product on this list. It is affordable, versatile, and effective.
The model comes supplied with interchangeable UK/USA/EU/AUS plugs, so you'll always be able to bring this device with you and charge your gadgets in just about any country/hotel/BnB there is. Its international voltage compatibility will let you charge multiple devices at the same time anywhere you go.
With four USB-A ports that go up to 4.4 amps per port, you'll have no issues effectively charging 3-4 separate gadgets simultaneously. Plus, the Auto-ID technology works wonders intelligently identifying connected devices and providing optimised charging.
All that being said, what we like most about this USB charger is probably its 8-stage safety system. Equipped with over-charging, over-power, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage, high-temperature, and anti-static protection, the model will be able to keep your gadgets safe through power outages and every other safety hazard in the book.
As far as we're concerned, the only issue with the product is that the glossy housing is susceptible to scratches.
Apart from that, Lencent USB Charger Plug has no business being this effective, full-featured, and versatile at this price.

Charge Anything
On paper, RAVPower UK RP-PC006(B) might seem like the least impressive prospect within this lineup. But that's where the specifics come in. Sure, the charger is fitted with but two USB-A ports (up to 3 Amps per port), which is not that impressive on the surface-level.
At the same time, both ports are equipped with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It is able to provide up to 4x faster speeds than standard 2.0 chargers, meaning it usually takes like 35 minutes for compatible devices to go from 0% to 80%.
Along with the company's upgraded INOV (Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage) tech and backwards compatibility with Quick Charge 2.0 devices, you'll be able to charge virtually any device out there as fast as possible. Plus, with just 2 USB ports, you'll have no issues plugging/unplugging different devices separately.
Last but not least, RVAPower's very own iSmart charging technology excels at automatically detecting the connected device, identifying the charging input, and then matching the device(s) with its required current.
To put it a little differently, RAVPower UK RP-PC006(B) will let you charge practically anything. The model takes efficiency to another level. Plus, the USB ports incorporate LED lights, so you'll be able to tell whether the device is done charging without picking that device up.
Lightweight but Powerful Enough
ULTRICS UT-0105-3PWC-WHI is an excellent charger for its price. The model weighs just 80 grams and measures 66 x 51 x 27 millimetres in overall dimensions, making this little charger highly portable.
It comes equipped with 3 USB-A ports that are able to deliver up to 3 amps per port. The first (upper) port adopts Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 tech, meaning it will be able to supercharge compatible gadgets from 0% to ~75% in half an hour.
The Smart IC technology is present here as well. As per usual, it does an excellent job recognising connected devices and automatically detecting and delivering the optimal charging current.
As far as safety is concerned, this fast charger is reliable enough, incorporating overcharge, overheat, and short-circuit protection.
We really like the plastic housing. It is scratch-, smudge, and drop-resistant, so it will likely remain looking as good as new for years to come. That being said, the housing does usually start to heat up after ~2 hours. The temperature remains acceptable though, so not much to worry about here.
All things considered, ULTRICS UT-0105-3PWC-WHI is a really practical product. The price is right. The dimensions are minuscule. The necessary safety mechanisms are there and its effectiveness is just as up to par.

What Is a USB Phone Charger?
When you have multiple devices that have different charger inputs, it may be challenging to power them up. In order to do that, you always have to carry multiple adapters inside your bag, purse, or pockets, which is not convenient at all. That’s when USB chargers come into play. These devices are compact, easy to use, and really versatile. A single charger can be used as an all-in-one adapter that can charge all of your mobile gadgets.
There are quite a few variations of USB chargers. While some act as simple switches and adapters for the AC outlets, the others can be used as fully-fledged chargers (although they still need to be plugged into an electrical grid via a power cord). The main advantage of both charger types is their ability to increase the regular power output of the outlets and, as a result, charges your devices almost twice as fast, compared to regular power adapters.
The electric security systems of the wall charges may include protection against electrical discharge, overcharge, and short-circuit prevention that can blow the battery of your mobile device.
If you are looking for more devices that will come in handy during long travels, we recommend taking a deeper look into power banks. Alternatively, you may also be interested in car chargers for fast charging of your mobile gadgets on the go.
