- Screen goes out randomly while recording. And it is very annoying.
- The highest accepted resolution is 1080i. So you will probably have to reconfigure your PS3 for that output. And you will not regret it as it records perfectly.
- I use this product to record PS3 gameplay. This device can record in resolutions up to 1080i. It comes with a set component cables. Everything works well.
- Sometimes "Capture Failed" shows up when trying to first record something. This happens at all resolutions. Sometimes it says the device is unplugged, but it is plugged in.
- The only resolution it records is 720p. That's fine for pretty much everything I'm doing. 1080i doesn't stream well. 1080p would require HDMI which this device does not support.
- My viewers on Twitch reported that the gameplay came through at very good resolution and frame rate and this device was particularly good value for money.
- This is a fantastic product with a high quality resolution, it performs extremely well and is well worth the price.
- Good high resolution recording, software not bad but can get better depending on what you want to use for, records well for youtube or any other video site.
- Great resolution, and unlimited full high definition 1080p capture, completely lag-free.
- I think this was disappointing as it has several limitations. On a PS3 it will only allow 1080i max resolution and will only record in boring stereo.
- The compact size is nice as well. It's about the size of four or five DVD cases stacked. I suppose it could be made even smaller, but it is fairly small as is, and unobtrusive.
- It's small and fits in comfortably wherever you choose to put it & easy to hookup.
- It is small and comes with long enough cables. You can record up to 1080i which I think is the equivelant to 780p.
- The HD PVR is very light weight and records in H.264 video codec. It was very easy to set the HD PVR and to install the software included with the HD PVR.
- The HD PVR is extremely light and very well designed. I especially like the different lights that tell you when you are recording.
- Great size to fit with my other gear when travelling, never had an issue since purchase.
- Also, it's the size of your hand basically. And it only requires 3 wires!
- Small device in comparison to others on the market (size of an iphone).
- I was looking for, as it is small, light weight and i watched some videos on youtube to see what the quality was like. And it's awesome.
- Easy to connect, it's very small and light and it comes with a HDMI cable.
- Flawless HD via Component pass-through and works wonderfully with Win 7 64's WMC and Hauppauge Capture.
- The resulting file can be viewed on a PC or can be burned to DVD in a format that is compatible with many Blu Ray players.
- The Hauppauge software is clunky but works fine. Without depending on the IR, you have to pre-set the cable box for the channel you want to capture.
- The software setup, especially doing it properly for WMC, the Hauppauge WMC Installation instructions are clear as mud.
- The only complaint that I have is that the latest version of the Arcsoft software is not compatible with the WinTV scheduler.
- The Software supplied is easy to understand after those first few goes. You don’t need to be some crazy tech wizard to get the best out of it. Highly recommended!
- The software is simple and easy to navigate and the 'always recording' feature is amazing and surprised no ones thought of that sooner.
- I like this game capture device because it is very easy to set up and use and the software is brilliant for a novice youtuber like me.
- This hardware is NOT compatible with OBS software on Mac.
- Cannot add in external audio track, and I found the in-software commentary recorder was massively out of sync with the game.
