- This is a small, intuitive box, easy to set and use with a very enjoyable picture.
- Easy to set up with either scart or Hdmi, very good picture with both indoor and outdoor aerial.
- This is a bargain - good performance at a budget price.
- Picture quality is worse than my older dvr which I've had for a few years now.
- Initially it wouldn't display 1080i - the picture would randomly freeze every few seconds.
- Love this box. Picture quality is good. Easy setup. Surely recommend this product.
- Great little box for the money... especially for providing HD channels without the internet.
- launch screen walked through the first-time scan, the picture was clear and of good quality, channel selection easy and obvious from the remote.
- The picture quality is excellent, it will record to USB sticks or removable hard drive, and it is delightfully easy to use.
- What a nightmare this box has turned out to be, every couple of days I have to re tune due to losing channels.
- I've tried recording and it works fine for SD and HD - as long as you intend to playback from this box.
- When recording it switches to that channel so what is the point of recording if you have to watch the show anyway.
- Some recordings have been spotty, lasting only for 3 minutes.
- If you want to record you have to put up with a timer on the top left of the screen the whole time.
- DVB400 loses the channel numbering and get confused. For example BBC1HD will suddenly change from channel 101 to something like 823!
- So far is recording fine and is saving onto the USB stick in.
- Recording is awkward. the EPG has an "add" button that implies adding item to the schedule; in fact, this just opens the schedule, and you must manually select channel.
- The main problem with this device is the lack of reliability of its recording function.
- Randomly stops recording well before the scheduled end or doesn't record at all; giving no indication as to why.
- It's unresponsive. It randomly turns off for no reason. Avoid avoid avoid.
- All the remote features - including picture format and zoom - worked very well.
- It's got a good EPG (program listing) and is very easy to use.
- The remote control's range is poor, meaning I have to get off the sofa to do even the most basic of operations.
- The epg, as many others have stated, is really rubbish.
- The EPG is very poor though, only telling you what's on the current channel, and often it only shows 2 programmes rather than a full list.
- One nice feature of the EPG is you can hide or delete channels from the box.
- The remote buttons are soggy and not reliable in operation.
- Unable to have a multi-channel EPG so that you can see what is on now across multiple channels.
- EPG in the August, for me, Is unusable. You cannot get a whole page guide of several channels at once as is usual with most TV.
- EPG is useless, with you having to go through each programme, 1 at a time, to see what is on.
- Have tried powering down/up at the mains and I haven't lost any channels. The RF loop through is very handy if you have an RF (coax) distribution like me.
- I found very useful that on the back, it has HDMI, SCART, COAXIAL, RF in and the RF loop so I can connect the box to anything I want.
- On the HDMI output there is a problem with sync between picture and sound.
- USB port seems to be loose inside and floating slightly.
- I really don't like that it needs external recorder or USB memory stick (and how many programmes would go on that?).
- Hd channels all tuned in and performs lovely through the scart and hdmi outputs. Menu systems very logical.
- This set-top box has an HDMI output as well as SCART and you can connect both at the same time.
- Amazing box with scart connection useful for older TV connectivity.
- Keeps saying no signal for pretty much every channel (Even when connected to an aerial that works fine for my TV).
- No signal when connected by usb cable had to use scart which is not supplied.
