- I can't tell you how pleased I am with my purchase of this box. I previously used the 1800t, which was good, but this one is the Rolls Royce of Freeview recorders.
- The picture quality is excellent. Noticeably better than the 1800t.
- In my humble opinion this is the best Freeview box on the market.
- Being able to record 3 things at once and having a generous 1 TB hard disc is a big plus.
- Picture is much sharper and the sound quality is better too. The addition of Freeview in HD is great too.

- Can't believe all the trade reviews are justified. Big storage disc on this model which is good, and there is a 64x fast forward which is a plus.
- Picture quality is good and it's relatively easy to set up.
- It is a very good quality item. It does everything it say's it does.
- Firstly I spent a couple of hours setting up the unit, it was easy and once set up everything was how I liked it.
- The hard disc is very noisy, I exchanged the unit but the new one is no better.

- In certain circumstances, depending on which channels you are watching / recording,you can record 4 programmes while watching a fifth.
- So long as it continues to record reliably and does not develop any bad habits I reckon I can live with it.
- Remote an tv response is shockingly slow, the user interface something I used to live humax for is now stupidly pathetic it actually makes me angry.
- Recorded programmes could not be moved to a named folder on an external drive, merely copied there.
- Recordings that you make through Schedule will only last 7 days, despite choosing daily.

- Machine is doing what its predecessors did - record, organise and playback and unit does it pretty well.
- Very happy with opportunity to record 4 channels and watching another one simultaneously.
- Sometimes the box will turn off if you press a channel button too soon after switching on. Not a massive issue, but still annoying.
- Claims to record four programmes at once, but doesn't. I can do three.
- Fails to record split programmes. Fails to record complete programme when times vary slightly from schedule.

- Can play any BBC, ITV, Channel 4 or Channel 5 programme transmitted over the last week, available via the catchup-up tools provided: iPlayer, ITV Player, All-4 and Demand5, though only iPlayer is advertisement-free.
- It has very poor functionality in general, takes so long to do anything, with too many button presses. They shouldn't be making it this difficult.
- If you delete a series in error, it doesn't ask "Are you sure", it just deletes and you need to set up again - Very poor!
- It randomly switches itself (and the tv) off. sometimes the guide button does this sometimes another. annoying.
- Poor remote control, difficult to navigate the buttons by feel alone and you need to point it directly at the Humax.

- I am happy with the remote functions, it is easy and is has "learnt" more than enough of my Samsung TV features.
- The remote record function is rubbish. A real disappointment.
- The ability to skip forward and back while playing is much more complicated than usual.
- It takes some time to get used to the fussy controls and remote buttons.
- The remote has less features than previous boxes, either features are no longer available or it takes a lot more button pressing to do what one button did before.

- It's easy and straightforward to set up. I also connected it wirelessly to the internet with no problems.
- Very easy, quick setup. Fast powerup and ready for use.

- Regularly loses Wi-Fi meaning I have to reboot to get this service back.

- I should say that my Internet connection is quite stable and I have no issues with other devices connected to it.
- I'm using the built in wifi connection it connected easily and I've had no problems using it to stream from iplayer.
- There was no problem connecting wirelessly to my internet network. The hard drive is not noisy and the software interface is functional.
- The Wifi feature connected to Wifi but couldn't connect my laptop to the Player.
- Constant issues with the screen going purple, freezing, slow connection speeds.
