- The picture is excellent, if anything better than using the TV by itself. The sound levels are adequate.
- Great viewing with super sharp picture quality and sound. Money well spent, trust me you won't be disappointed.
- Very nice and user friendly layout, with a very informative menu screen.
- On some channels, after a few minutes the sub-titles go ahead of the speech. The only way of correcting this is to stop and re-start the playback.
- Very disappointed in this product. Easy enough to install but it takes ages to switch on.
- This YouView recorder has been absolutely superb so far and I'm mightily impressed with it.
- Am very pleased with this - does exactly what it says on the tin and have had it several months now and it's been about 98% reliable.
- Great price, Humax are a great brand in the PVR and this is no exception - and this one is a great price compared to other Humax models.
- The only negative with this box is the noise, it is so, so noisy! The hard drive is constantly clicking and whining like some really old pc.
- The hard disk makes a slight sound. You only really hear it when the TV is off so it's not a massive problem for us.
- Works perfectly fine so far and have successfully recorded many programmes, and enjoyed a very clear picture.
- It does series record and put the series into individual folders, you can record 2 programs at the same time and watch a recorded one.
- Sometimes it stops responding while recording - so you have a choice of leaving it recording so you don't loose your recordings or resetting it and loosing your recordings.
- I initially had a lot of problems with the quality of my picture and some recordings failed as the channels were not available.
- Sometimes when playing recorded programmes the box would power off and then reboot.
- This device is instantly responsive, so far 100% reliable at recording scheduled programmes, and completely silent.
- After setup completed, we had access to 142 TV channels, 13 of which are HD. Better than our Freeview
- Recording was as accurate as Sky with no programme start / stop cut off so far.
- Since then I have had to reset it twice I lose all my recordings, and retune the channels many times.
- There is no display on the front to tell you what channel or recording you are watching.
- Quick Start Guide and User's Manual - both of which get you through the basics fairly quickly and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy he machine is to use.
- Very good instruction booklet. Quick to set up, channel tuning automatic.
- I'm very happy with good quality and quick service of this Humax product.
- The remote control is also nice to use albeit the noisy bubble-wrap-pop button press.
- One other thing which has attracted adverse comment is that the cursor navigation buttons on the remote make an annoying clicking noise.
- Obviously the unique selling point for this device is being able to watch already broadcast programs using all of the available on-demand services.
- Pleasantly surprised with remote control. Good range of features and well made design.
- The remote control buttons became increasingly difficult to press and then stop working.
- Youview does not offer us any extra features and was annoyed I had to connect to the internet just to set it up.
- Cannot hide/unhide channels within guide, Youview state awaiting software update.
- Transferring recorded programmes to PC is easy using a USB flash stick.
- Superb kit. USB port is particularly helpful for transferring files. Well made and reliable. I love Humax.
- Good thing is you can pop in a usb and keep something you don't want to get rid of.
- Simply connect a few leads let the box tune in all stations in your area total around 160 including the HD ones.
- The signal from my local transmitter is strong, but the software decided to select a weak transmitter signal.
- Easy to use. Setup was very easy. Simple plugged in ethernet cable (from router), aerial, power cable, and hdmi (to the tv) at the back and turned on the machine.
- Disappointed that the usb socket is basically useless. cant download anything that is saved on the HD.
- Its a shame there is no WIFI or at least a WIFI USB adapter option for these boxes.
- Can't connect a USB memory stick with video on it, an external hard drive or a Fire TV stick for example.
- Lack of wifi could be a big barrier to using the catch up services and remote record - it needs an ethernet connection.
