- This box offers truly amazing performance from its powerfull specifications and is certainly worth paying that bit extra for the 4 network ports.
- This TS-435A is great I have the 4GB version, the NAS migration was very easy from one to the other.
- So far so good, easy to fit the drives.
- Installation of drives is easy. Supports great types of drives.
- Overall very pleased with this drive, super fast, really easy to use and configuration web page very well designed.
- Been using this over a year now and it's simply brilliant at what it does. I went with the 2GB version, but bought a RAM upgrade as others have mentioned to make it 8GB and it's just a great device.
- It is perfect in every way for backup, media serving, running my own personal cloud.
- This is a great NAS drive. I am new to all this technology! so learning more and more everyday! So far, so good!
- Good fully featured, reasonably powerful SOHO NAS unit.
- The Virtualization Station is really useful and easy to use.
- The 453A is an excellent unit. I also purchased 16GB of ram for it as even though Intel say it's not supported by the CPU, the NAS detects it and is up and running perfectly.
- 4GB RAM seems fine for a file and WEB server.
- Decent on-the-fly transcoding and LCD screen.
- To enable remote control access you have to register your device with myqnapcloud, and QNAP do not automatically give you a key.
- Setup was pretty good and worked straight away. But pretty fast, once up and running you are left to make a lot of decisions abut what apps to load, difficult quaetions about transcoding and so on.
- Media streaming seems good, which was one of the reaosns I chose it, I like the web-baed interface, it is responsive and pleasant.
- I have it running a VM, Plex, iTunes server and a bunch more stuff on top of it's network sharing duties and it doesn't break a sweat. It has a web interface which is one of the best I've used.
- Set up was a very straightforward affair, just be patient as formatting and scanning had take time. Once loaded on installed it can be augmented very easily with the excellent apps. Highly recommend this product.
- Trays feel somewhat cheaper and more plasticky than those on my older 219 NAS, but not a major issue as they should remain in place for most of their life.
- USB 3 ports means backing it up onto a portable Hard Disk is quite quick @150 MB/s.
- The functionality offered in the QNAP software, really sets these boxes apart from other in the marketplace. Also great interfaces.
- You can backup to external drives using the USB 3 ports.
- Has USB slots for keyboard and mouse. Great number of connectors.
- Not the cheapest product on the market but you get what you pay, the dual HDMI output being a particular highlight for my chosen setup.
- Easy to setup and data transfer rates good.
- A very well designed machine that is easy to install. Set up, software wise, is more difficult and I had to contact QNAP support for advice.
- The interfaces are simple to use (however sometimes I get lost because of same functionality distributed in multiple places).
- Also the gigabit connection through my router made copy over 90GB of data in a few hours. I had some misunderstandings at first, but the QNAP tech support was great in helping me out.
- I have it connected via HDMI to my living room 4K TV and having the remote was a nice add on. Im impressed with all of the free apps that are available to expand functionality.
