It's great unit. Easy to install. Highly recommend.
Really good features, easy to set up, easy to administer and fast.
It has PCIe slot for 10GbE cards or NVME SSD cache card.
Plastic construction looks and feels a little cheap and the drive trays resonate drive noise.

The disk management software is extremely easy to learn yet powerful.
Running a single 1080p Plex stream barely ticks the cpu/ram which leads me to believe this NAS could easily run quite a few streams at one time.
Setup is easy, the quick connect is a neat feature, and the software is absolutely top notch.
Its QuickConnect software allows you to access your NAS from anywhere with a custom URL that makes it easy to backup or access files from anywhere.
The Synology software make these units a dream to work with as they are stable and user friendly.

Expandable, lots of apps. Good LAN ports of this one.

Synology DS1819+ 24TB 8-Bay NAS Solution

I/O performance is great and can be even better with the 10gbe expansion card.
The software is flawless, it had no issues on my network.
Easy to setup, allows synchronising of Dropbox, easy backup and allows you to share files with others with relative ease and securely.
A good number of USB ports and their location is great.
Unfortunately there is no HDMI connector.
